Re: Which Moog to buy

Dunno, if I can be of any help, motion drive, but here are a couple of sounds I did with the Sub 37 right after I got it (23 examples in total): https://soundcloud.com/pauldither/sets/moog-sub-37-demos I also recorded two tracks that only feature sounds made with the Sub 37: https://soundcloud.com/p...

Re: Sub 37 - the best monosynth of all time?

I am considering buying the sub 37 but I am a novice with interest in synthesis. is the synth a good all rounder? I have an ultranova and the bass station 2 and some volcas, ms20 mini along with a maschine studio and a push along with a tr8 I dont really want to have to buy anymore hardware synths ...

Re: Sub 37 feature suggestions - firmware updates

This is coming in 1.1 firmware. It is called variance rather than slop but is the same thing. It's not really the same thing as slop though. Slop usually acts like a free running pitch variance (sort of similar to how a free running LFO acts), while the new variance parameter is a random pitch gene...

Re: Track exclusively made with a Sub 37

Thank you, namnibor (haven't seen you in a while) and bowski! seems to me like U've got a very friendly workflow except using the very intuitive daw software from ableton. Yeah, using Ableton together with Push helps a lot. Its sequencer option also made it easier to develop the percussion patterns ...

Re: Track exclusively made with a Sub 37

Yes, it's Ableton Live. I used the step sequencer of the Push controller to program the single drum patterns.

Re: Track exclusively made with a Sub 37

Thanks for the comments, everyone! Much appreciated. @Rufus the Dog: Yes 27 tracks. See the proof attached. The group "Percussion" features 4 tracks, the group "Effects" 5, "Basses" 3, "Strings" 2, "Pluck" 2, and "FMing" 4. That plus the 7 ...

Track exclusively made with a Sub 37

I've uploaded a track that only features sounds I've done with the Sub 37 (27 tracks in total):

or:

The youtube file has a slightly better quality.

Very nice! I like the simultaneity of calmness and disturbance that is stimulated by the interplay with the video.

Re: 4-voice paraphony

Nice :-) What patch did you use, sounds really good.. Thank you, Toine. It's not a factory preset. Basically it's two oscillators at almost square wave (one a bit above, one a bit below) with the pulse width modulated by a sine wave and the filter being modulated by the envelope. Kind of what one w...

Re: 4-voice paraphony

Sorry for causing confusion. Yes, I have indeed only one Sub 37, so no real poly-chaining took place for the recording. Just a couple of 4-voice chords split up on two MIDI and audio tracks. Whether duo mode would work just as simple in poly-chain mode I don't know. I assumed so. But you're right: t...

4-voice paraphony

Ever wondered what a poly-chained Sub 37 would sound like?

No effects, just two simultaneous tracks of a duophonicly played string pad.
