Re: Patch points for CV Control of Matriarch

Actually the Env trigger ins are not normalled, I was wrong about that part.

MoogerFooger Replacement Wood Ends

Hi!

I inherited a moogerfooger that has a wood end on only a single side.

Where can I have a replacement made, or does someone know the dimensions?

Re: Matriarch plus euro VCAs

Regarding the oscillators, you are right, they are gated before the mixer, so unless you play 4 keys, the sound wont come from all mixer channels, but as you have found, you can still get the oscillator out from all the osc output jacks. Have you considered not going into osc pitch in? Set the matri...

Re: Matriarch, rising resonance - issue?

I agee, if you have sustain at max then there’s no reason not to set decay to max. Try that.

Re: Roland TR-8 sync with DFAM issue

You can’t go midi out of the TR8 to a patch point on the DFAM. I suggest going out of an assignable out. Sacrifice a sound by assigning it to an assignable out and turning it off the main outputs. Then set all the steps to on. Hopefully the volume is strong enough to trigger the DFAM. You can get Eu...

Re: Matriarch: Patching velocity output amplitude

Ah, ok, to answer my own question, I found the solution - I watched a video where the person showed how to do it. Patch: amp env out to attenuator in attenuator out to VCA CV In 1 keyboard vel out to attenuator CV In Set attenuator to the center position Important! - Set amp envelope to DRONE MODE T...

Matriarch: Patching velocity output amplitude

I was sequencing the Matriarch via MIDI and wanted to have the velocity control note volume and the output from the keyboard vel out and sequencer vel out both were not outputting velocity so I downgraded to firmware v1.1.0. Thankfully that worked, midi velocity goes out of the keyboard out (but not...

Re: Matriarch, rising resonance - issue?

We can't know if that is the expected behavior because you didn't tell us all of the filter ADSR settings.
What I can say is that if your filter sustain was set to 97% then what you are experiencing is normal.

Re: Patch points for CV Control of Matriarch

I tested and it looks like the following are normalled (no need to mult): osc pitch in is normalled to the osc to the right (but none of the other osc points like PWM or lin FM) So patching into osc1 sets the pitch for all 4. Filter CV1 in is normalled to filter CV2 in. (maybe also vice versa, I did...

Re: Matriarch - chorus patch with delay

Yeah I can get subtle effects (although hard with one attenuator ) but I don't get phaser/chorus much because the delayed signal is darker.

Patch points for CV Control of Matriarch

Hi! If I want to sequence matriarch via CV, what patch point do I use for pitch and gate? I see there are inputs on each oscillators, but are they normaled together or do I need to mult to get four copies so that I patch into all of the oscillators or is there a better input. Same with gate, do I ne...

Re: Matriarch - chorus patch with delay

Forgive me for not be able to test until Tuesday. But did you already try fastest Delay time, zero feedback and 50% wet? That’s in addition to what you are already doing with the attenuator to send very little modulation and trying fast and slow LFO times.

Re: Matriarch - chorus patch with delay

This article plus comments has some relevance: https://electricdruid.net/investigations-into-what-a-bbd-chorus-unit-really-does/ The rate modulation unfortunately changes the pitch so people use non-triangle modulation waveshapes to try to minimize the wackiness. One person said, "Nice work. Th...

I haven't tried that, what are the settings for the delay knobs that you think should work?

Re: Arp/seq, Round robin

That’s not exactly how I’d put it. The arp and sequencer behave differently. The sequencer can play multiple Osc’s in para modes - just not the arp.
