Re: Sub Phatty - My user experience
Hi everyone, I would like to contribute to this thread as a Sub Phatty owner, my first moog, but I have been playing keyboards for the last 30 years, mainly digital and VIs (Virtual Instruments), so I know a lot of stuff that is out there... All this time I have had all sort of things but never did ...

Re: Sub Phatty non continuous waveshape oscillators
Hi everyone, just to let you people know that I have tested another Sub today, and the result is: It was different. I could have not realized until now that each moog synth could have such its own personality and was some sort of a living thing. Do I prefer mine? Yes of course, because I have alread...

Re: resonance working strange on Sub Phatty
Thanks Stuka, title changed! Hi Waza, the filter was indeed with the wrong pole setting and it made a difference. I then did the calibrating procedure and this time it took longer than the last time, which was a month ago. After it had completed the resonance got a little "better", but I c...

Resonance working strange on Sub Phatty
Hi everyone. My SubPhatty is driving me nuts!!! Today I tried to make that Hi Hat sound from the moog video, the one about percussion, and it was impossible. I haven't had any moog experience before I bought mine, so I might be missing something. The fact is that I cannot alter the noise generator t...

Re: Filter cutoff frequency control via CV with a BOSS FV-50
Hello all, I have just tested the Boss FV-50H and it works fine. The only way it works is with a Y type inset cable. A regular TRS/TRS cable does not work at all. The way I connected it is by plugging the TRS on the CV input on the SP and one TS on the pedal's Input and another TS on the it's output...

Re: Sub Phatty Noise influences LFO speed
Hi, I have this too, but it only happens if the filter cutoff frequency is less than 5kHz, above this the LFO runs normally. Might be a bug. Hope this can be fixed on a new firmware. Hugs.

Re: Sub Phatty processor whine noise ?
Hi, I had a similar problem with my setup and I found out that it was related to improper grounding. The solution was to take off the two prong folding tip from the macbook pro power supply and plug in the original three prong cord with the ground one in the middle. The contact for grounding on this...

Filter cutoff frequency control via CV with a BOSS FV-50H
Hi there, I was just wondering if it is possible to use a Boss FV-50H as an expression pedal for controlling the filter cutoff frequency. I imagine that it is possible to accomplish this using a Y type insert cable (dual TS > TRS), being both TS coming out of the dual Output on the pedal and the TRS...

Re: Sub Phatty non continuous waveshape oscillators
hello all, thanks for sharing all your thoughts! I am really glad to here from such knowledged people. I am getting used to this thing, specially after Igor said that this is a little nothing, and that it is due to the synth construction itself. Since Amos has confirmed this also, I can not argue an...

Re: Sub Phatty non continuous waveshape oscillators
If you would like to compare, there is also a video on Youtube of a persons analyzing the SP oscillator with an osciloscope (1:44) and this peak does not show up on his.

Sub Phatty non continuous waveshape oscillators
Hello all, I have just got a brand new SP here in Brazil! After some time discovering my new synth I noticed a strange thing. I could hear a small rough "step" while turning the wave button. This happens just before the triangle turns into saw. I have tried both oscillators and they sound ...
