Taurus stage monitor
Hi folks, I've read here that some of you have various solutions for stage monitors for your Taurus pedals, notable the QSC powered KW series. I was looking pretty closely at the KW153 3 way cab, but then realized that what some folks have been using for a 3 way application were some of Greenboy's de...

Re: Taurus III dust cover
Nice looking case! I'll post a pic of mine when it's finished. I just placed the order for Studio Slips' clamshell bag, mine will include the top pocket and they will sew in a zippered pocket in the bottom to place a hard panel in, which of course will be removable for washing. Susan was very helpfu...

Re: Taurus III dust cover
I was thinking something along the lines of 1/4" hardboard (like smooth faced masonite), but I'm still not 100% decided. I'm waiting to hear back from them on Monday and wil decide then. I may just go with the standard clamshell with a pocket. I'll be the one packing it away in the car each tim...

Re: Taurus III dust cover
Don't think it's a tough cowd so much as probably not many people bought them. I fancied one but $89 for the cover plus $60 delivery was a bit excessive (I'd have had to add another £30 or so import duty too). So over £120 for a dust cover. I ended up getting a padded soft clam case from Studio Sli...

Re: Taurus III dust cover
If you sew or know someone who does, it can be done pretty cheaply. I'm working out a plan to make a gig bag for mine using heavy cotton canvas from probably 3 army surplus duffel bags. It should be strong enough to hold the TIIIs weight, and I'll have foam padding sewn into the bag to protect from ...

Re: Poll: What do you use your Moog gear for?
I'm a Taurus III owner. Well, I play in weekend mainly cover bands, so the 'no income' bracket doesn't quite fit, but I certainly don't earn a significant portion of my income playing. Gear can be nice status items too, so that's part of the deal. I could certainly rig up a cheaper bass pedal set up...

Re: Playing technique
That's my biggest challenge: switching from one foot to the other and dexterity during fast passages. I find using a referenced position, IE: sliding the non-playing foot against a stationary object, I can consistently find the right pedals with my triggering foot, but reaching from one end of the s...
