Re: Sub 37 Firmware 1.0.3 Bugs

When you release one of the two keys, one of the two different notes you're hearing becomes the same pitch as the other (unison). It's not "cutting off"; it's still sounding. Actually yes, you are completely right. I guess what I was looking for was a way to not have the OSC 2 merge to OS...

Re: Sub 37 Firmware 1.0.3 Bugs

Careful attention was paid to the wording of this feature. It is called "paraphonic" (and not duophonic) because, although you have two separate Oscillators that each can be independently controlled, you still only have one Filter and one final Amplifier that are shared by everything comi...

Re: Sub 37 Poly Chain

So if you play a key repeatedly, you hear [both synths] [nothing] [both synths] [nothing] on successive key presses? If so, that's what happens when both synths are set to be voice 1 of 2, or if they are 'out of sync' in a way that should be corrected by sending an All Notes Off to both units (or f...

Re: Sub 37 Firmware 1.0.3 Bugs

I am not sure if this is a bug or just a side-effect of the synth architecture, but I noticed that when I play duophonically, only the first oscillator responds to the Amp Env Release parameter. I guess it makes sense in a way as you when you release one note while still holding the other you'd want...

Re: Sub 37 Poly Chain

Hi Amos, Thanks so much for your very detailed explanation. The Max Poly bug explanation on the Sub 37 makes sense, and sending a "all notes off" command helped in getting more predictable results. When I set the Sub 37 to Poly Number 1 with Poly Max to 1, and the Minitaur Poly Number 2, P...

Re: Sub 37 Features Request....Pretty Please!

No need to make a new thread; http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=22083

I do agree that #1 and #2 are very useful and I guess they should be implementable, so a +1 for that.

Re: Sub 37 Poly Chain

Hi Amos, I tried polychaining my Minitaur to the Sub 37 but facing a strange issue where only the 3rd note activates the Minitaur. I set the poly chain max on the Sub 37 to 3 (tried back down to 1 without any changes in the result), and the Minitaur poly number is set to 1. I have the latest firmwa...

Re: Sub 37 - Arpeggiator Rate Knob

Im not behind the sub, but i believe the rate knob sets the internal tempo when the sub is not receiving external click messages or master sync is off.

Re: Sub 37 feature suggestions - firmware updates

I second the suggestion of recording mod wheel position (as mentioned in the previous page). I would also like to know how you guys use the 'Step Sequence Note' as modulation for a Mod bus, can this somehow be separated from the notes played, eg you play notes normally and only use the step sequence...

Re: Problem with Sub 37 (buzz sound)

I just tested and can confirm the harmonic content around 80hz. It is there even when i turn the volume of all oscillators down.

It dissapears as soon as I turn the amp envelope off (all env parameters to 0).

To be honest my ears didn't pick it up but it's quite odd indeed.

Re: Sub 37 cutoff knob: upper range issue?

If it's just when loading the presets it depends on your global settings regarding knob value changes (sorry forgot the name), is it in 'pickup' mode perhaps? Try changing to 'absolute' and see if it still occurs. Otherwise it might be related to this issue: http://forum.moogmusic.com/viewtopic.php?...

I realized that getting the Sub 37 was much like getting a baby. I had to wait for around 9 months, and now I barely get any sleep - but I am very happy :D

Re: Sub 37 feature suggestions - firmware updates

Hi guys, I've had my Sub 37 for two days and loving it so far. A couple of things I'd like to see, or perhaps somebody can point me to currently existing functionality / tricks I am not aware of: * A quicker way to enter preset names, possibly via the computer via a USB connection. * A way to select...
