Re: Sawtooth vs Triangle Waves

Thank you for the excellent explanation! It does make sense why those options are available. (It doesn't quite explain why the waveform in the LCD sometimes is very different from what shows up in the oscilloscope, however.)

Re: Sawtooth vs Triangle Waves

Like I said, I wasn't applying any modulation, and the mix knob was set fully to left so that only the sawtooth/triangle side was active.

Sawtooth vs Triangle Waves

I just acquired an analog oscilloscope and I thought it would be interesting to see the waveforms the Moog One is producing. Starting with an Init patch, with Osc 1 set to Triangle Wav and the Mix Knob all the way to the left: Playing a Middle C the waveforms match what's on the LCD as I sweep the W...

Re: Synth Effect noise issue

Yeah, I’m very familiar with this, and it is definitely the phaser. Noisy enough as to be unusable in my opinion, but turning it down mostly solves that.

I was able to delete all notes in a step using the process described. What operation were you trying to do?

Re: PITCH MODULATION MOD EG AMT

To answer your first question anyway: "Can someone please tell me if it is possible to see this knob's current % setting on the screen?"

Yes, it's on any of the oscillator displays, bottom-left.

Re: Arp behavior

Yes, I am seeing the same thing. Even with sync off. It is easily tested by doing the following: 1) Turn on Arp and open Arp page 2) Turn Sync off 3) Set the note division to long note like 1/2 Unless you get very lucky hitting a key will sound quite noticably after you strike the key. My guess is t...

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests

I would like to add my vote to LFO START PHASE as a mod destination . I found a few other requests searching this forum. Here is one: I have a few more feature requests after a week of use. The most limiting factor to me has been panning - I find it hard to take advantage of the stereo field. Most m...

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests

Oh, I see Amos is talking about adding microtonal scales/custom tuning in this Oct 2018 video:

Has anyone heard anything more about this happening?

MIDI clock sync thru?

I'm using the USB MIDI port to sync the One's clock to Ableton. I would love to be able to have some other MIDI devices sync to the One using the THRU or OUT DIN ports on the back, but the One doesn't seem to be sending MIDI clock that it received.

Or any MIDI clock at all for that matter?

Re: SUB OUTS: so much quieter... and noisier

I had this problem, and verified it with Moog, before and after receiving a replacement unit that had the exact same issue. The sub outs put out less volume, but with gain added to produce the same output levels, had a much higher noise floor. In other words the signal-to-noise ratio is noisier on t...

Re: Noise issue, is this normal?

I ended up keeping the new one. Sweetwater handled the return/replacement under warranty. The old one had the creaky keyboard some users mention, and the new one does not, so it worked out for the best despite the minor inconvenience.

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests

To be more specific, the ability to set a custom microtuning for each of the 12 notes. I believe this feature was added to the Minitaur.

Re: Noise issue, is this normal?

A previous poster mentioned this, but I also have much more noise on the sub outs than I do on my main outs. When I sent the test files I made demonstrating this to Moog service, they asked me to send it in for repair. Nonetheless, they decided that it was not malfunctioning. I was sent a new 16-voi...
