Re: 104m short?
Figured it out - there was a bunch of corrosion around one side of the big square chip with the sticker on top, shorting between the bypass switch and the range switch. The pedal is brand new so it must have left the factory with a drop of water or something sitting in that spot, which corroded arou...

104m short?
Just picked up a 104M (wanted to get it before it's gone) and am having some strange issues and thought to post here on the off chance that anyone else has dealt with this. The problem is some kind of connection between the short / long switch and the bypass button and mode. When the switch is on sh...

Re: Minitaur presets from akai MPC 500/1000
Hey - I use a MT and a MPC1k as well - don't bother with the sysex, just save your preset within the MT (make sure you have the current firmware installed), and then send program change messages from the MPC. Works perfectly. Good luck!

Re: Minitaur cc7 making noise - help needed
Hey - I traded some emails with Amos about this - it's not pot noise, it's just the zipper sound from adjusting it with MIDI. My slim doesn't make the noise either - apparently there is a solution on the way (but we must all be patient when it comes to moog!) You'll find the problem is lessened if y...

Sounds like you need to dive into the wonderful world of midi channels or use an interface that has separate assignable outs.
Good luck!

Re: Problem with VCO 2 & EG AMOUNT knob positions.
Hi George
Had this same problem with my MT -there is a knob/pot calibration sysex routine that you need to perform - you should be able to find it if you dig around the forum a bit here. Good luck!

Re: Will the Minitaur do what I need?
Yes - no problem. I use long decay all the time and fine-adjust it to fit the tempo. Once you hear and play the MT for 5 minutes you'll never be able to go back to the roland.

Slim P Turn - on sequence
Hey guys Thought you might like this over here - I always thought the way my Slim boots up was beautiful and that these little details are what makes these instruments and this company special. Inspired by that, here's a little promo I made for an upcoming show - audio is a quick little Minitaur/Sli...

Re: Minitaur noisy volume pot, anyone else ?
Check and make sure your controller is not sending CC#7 as you are adjusting the volume pot, this can cause symptoms that seem a LOT like a bad pot.

Re: Can Minitaur make sounds by itself?
You can get it droning by opening the gate, either with CV, or if you have the newer firmware installed, you just hold down the glide button, then turn the amp sustain all the way down then all the way up. To close it, hold glide again and turn the same knob all the way down again.

Re: Minitaur firmware update soon - your requests here pleas
Hi Amos - any idea about changing the knob mode to "snap" ? It seems stuck on "relative" on my MT. I have tried the v.2 editor via USB as well as sending the sysex command directly via DIN MIDI and nothing seems to change the knobs' actual behavior. If this is in fact an issue I'...

Anyone have any luck with getting their knobs to actually behave as "snap" or "pass through" rather than "relative"?

Re: Minitaur firmware update soon - your requests here pleas
I posted above about this and thought I had it solved but apparently not - looks like the Knob mode option isn't working on this newest firmware - no matter what I set it to in the editor it behaves like "relative" - (easy to check by comparing the on screen knob position to the one on the...

Minitaur knob "SNAP" setting
Hey guys - trying to switch my miniatur's knobs to "SNAP" style behaviour. I have the folder of sysex files and they all seem to work except this one (no change) - is there something I'm missing? Has anyone else done this successfully? Would someone be willing to try it on their unit? Chee...
