Re: Any Good News?

Hi all, Being an intended future purchaser of a Moog (probably the Sub Phatty initially), I have been reading these forums to check out the experiences of present or past owners. Is it just me or do people have a lot of quality issues with Moog equipment? I read so much about twitchy cut-off pots d...

Re: Sub Phatty Editor v1.1 coming; question for Windows user

Hi folks, I am trying to determine if anyone is using the VI (virtual instrument) -version of the Sub Phatty Editor plugin for Windows. It seems that the "effect" version of the plugin is better for most users... should we continue to offer both versions? Please let me know. Also if you a...

Re: Did you enjoy the Sub Phatty Editor presets?

Hi, I found all the presets (that is, yours and the other contributors) to be great inspiration. I never have much time to sit and noodle (just to see what I can come up with) but the Sub can clearly go places I'd never have imagined. I'm with Asymetrical on the idea of patch sheets in addition to p...

Re: Sub Phatty Cutoff Control automatically resets to 200hz?

Have you tried doing an Initialize Globals? See... http://www.moogconnect.net/downloads/subphatty/SubPhatty_infographic_v1_1_4.pdf ...on the bottom row. If you've been automating the cutoff with MIDI, the MIDI values you send get kind of "added to" the values indicated by the knob position...

Re: Problem with SubPhatty 64bit VSTi: hardware disconnected

Hi Amos, Since I haven't seen anything from you on this thread for a while I guess you and the other Moog techs are busy trying to work things out. I don't know what approach you're taking to solve the problem but I've got an idea that either needs to be fleshed out or crossed off the list if it's t...

Re: Problem with SubPhatty 64bit VSTi: hardware disconnected

Hi Amos,

Thanks for getting on to this. Like the others, standalone is fine for me, but I have had no success with any of the VSTi formats in Cubase 7.06 64bit on Win 7 Pro.

Can I please add my name to the list of testers/people to be notified as we work through this?

Thanks,
Murray.

Re: Sub Phatty Firmware & Editor

Hi All, I agree with jjlucas76. I personally don't mind beta testing the firmware updates as they become available. I've owned my SubP since early May and I bought it purely on the strength of Amos' NAMM demo video. The firmware in the synth he had for that demo was probably at a guess 1.03 or somet...

Re: Sub Phatty beta firmware - final bug roundup

Hi Amos, I've just upgraded to 1.3.8 and I'm finding that (with Local On) no matter how I try to use Panic, it does nothing. Murray - try doing a Reset Globals operation, in case it helps? (http://www.moogconnect.net/downloads/subphatty/SubPhatty_infographic_v1_1_4.pdf - see bottom row) also, look a...

Re: Sub Phatty beta firmware - final bug roundup

Hi Amos and All, Firstly apologies in advance if this covered elsewhere or still a known issue (I couldn't find anything similar to this in a search), but I'm wondering if the Panic function (pressing both Octave buttons at once) is working as expected. I've just upgraded to 1.3.8 and I'm finding th...

Re: Sub Phatty beta firmware - final bug roundup

[quote="Amos"] MuzzFuzz: the headphone level is a passive control, and it is indeed wired in series after the master volume. This was a cost-saving maneuver as it reduces the number of VCA circuits, versus having fully-independent main-output and headphone levels. The Sub Phatty retails fo...

Re: Sub Phatty beta firmware - final bug roundup

... In his review of the SubP in the June issue of Sound on Sound magazine, Gordon Reid points out that in his observation, the Master volume control is in series with the Headphone volume control. So of course the Master needs to be turned up to hear the headphones, and therefore the main output i...

Re: Sub Phatty beta firmware - final bug roundup

Hi All, Now that we're at firmware 1.3.5, for me one question remains that I don't think anyone else has touched on. In his review of the SubP in the June issue of Sound on Sound magazine, Gordon Reid points out that in his observation, the Master volume control is in series with the Headphone volum...

Is the Windows Sub Phatty Editor fit for use?

Hi All, I've been watching this forum for a few weeks now without creating an account, keeping up to date with OS updates, hanging out for the Windows editor/VST plug and generally watching developments. Firstly, big thanks to Amos for being so accessible and so speedy with addressing all the issues...
