I don't have the PCBs ? these seem to work and a line level mixer without them what's it the PCBs did ?

Thanks the the info, not sure why I said "ground" I guess because it made I hum when you touch the trim pot. I checked the the arm leg of the pot beeped when testing resistance on my meter and all did exept this one , with the loss leg connected to the case this fixed the problem .. I also noticed ...

looks like its a ground come away under the Pot, it has come off.. funny but some pots seem to have there ground on the outside.. you can see it and some its on the underside..

I would put pic;s up to help but I don't seem to be able to upload anything . just get an over the limit window ?

HI All, I had the moog fixed a couple of weeks ago , and now again no sound (or a thud when I hit a key) I found moving the Regen Cal fixes the problem but it keeps coming back tried some pot cleaner etc.. can you buy the Cal pots anywhere .? should I try to remove it had have it cleaned ?

Hi all, just an update to close this , my old friend Simon Flinn came to stay last weekend (a great tech vintage gear or not). Anyway there was not part failure he cleaned the connection from Osc card to socket with a rubber and re soldered some dry joints .. That was it

Just a note not to immediately assume it's a component.
It could also be a bad PCB connection, loose connection or any number of possible other problem(s.)

Proper troubleshooting is analyzing the schematic and theory behind operation.
Replacing parts based on a hunch is not troubleshooting.It's ...

point taken, My friend is staying in a week a full time Tech he will look at it , but I will need part in stock so he can fix it while he is down..


If anyone know were the OSC source starts so I can track on the board that would really help ..

Just to recap :
there is no waveform at Q11 or R1

not sure what the High Pitched OSC 1 problem was but not there is no sound at all from OSC 1

I have a sawtooth at Q15 (which is OSC 2) but nothing at Q3 (OSC 1)

Didn't you start this thread by saying that OSC 1 was "super high" in pitch, and now you're saying that there is no rectangular and triangle waveforms for OSC 1 ?????????

I am trying to fix the super high OCS 1 , which stay super high and does not track keyboard or pitch wheel or master tune.

I was tracing the OSC board with a tech frend , and we found there is now waveform shouldn't at R1 etc. which are part of OSC 1 sound source so it looks like my problem is ...

I have order some Op Amps ..

I did some checks with a scope and found there is no Waveform at all at R1, R22 @ R23 but there is as R53 , R73 and R89 same as R111 ,R130 & R145..

if I jump from R53 to R1 I get a waveform.. ? so could it be the Resistors or something before R1 not sure what happens ...
