Re: Unexpected Bonus to Getting SubPhatty
One of my main reasons for buying the SubPhatty (against the MiniBrute and the Korg MS-20 Mini) was precisely that I could use it as a MIDI controller. (At the time, it was difficult for me to tell the difference in terms of sound, just watching videos on the Internet). An expensive controller, I kn...

Re: Sub Phatty Editor - beta test feeedback
Logic 9 Pro in 64-bit mode fails to recognise the Sub Phatty Editor. [Edit: Actually, it also fails validation in 32-bit mode. But it works fine in Live 9 in 64-bit mode. So maybe the problem is with Logic 9. I have version 9.1.8] Loaded version 0.93 of the Editor without problems in Logic. However...

Re: Production problems for Sub Phatty?
This is ridiculous. The June is almost over and it's impossible to buy the Sub Phatty here in the United Kingdom!!! What is wrong.. Don't give up. Keep an eye around. They come and go very quickly. After speaking to a few suppliers, I had given up any hopes of getting one until September, so I deci...

Re: Sub Phatty Editor - beta test feeedback
Having lots of fun with the editor. Good work! A few issues I have come across, not sure if bugs or things that haven’t been implemented yet: Logic 9 Pro in 64-bit mode fails to recognise the Sub Phatty Editor. [Edit: Actually, it also fails validation in 32-bit mode. But it works fine in Live 9 in ...

Re: New Sub Phatty - No sound
Ok, this may sound too obvious, but I made that mistake once: Are you sure you connected your amplifier to Audio OUT and not to Audio IN?

Re: Are Doepfer a-155 CV levels safe to use with Sub Phatty?
The Doepfer manual states these voltages for the whole a-100 ecosystem: Trigger/gates: +12v Audio signals: -5v to +5v Control voltages (e.g. LFO): -2.5v to +2.5v Control voltages (e.g. ADSR): 0v to +8v So, bearing in mind that there will be some wonkiness if I send it negative voltages, my only que...

I don't think sequencers are a problem. Usually, their voltage out is between 0 and 5V. But double-check with the manual.

Re: How to learn, tutorials
For the basics, the Moog Foundation has produced a series of videos, The Foundation of Synthesis. Rob Papen also has a book that comes with 4 DVDs: The Secrets of Subtractive Synthesis. On the Sub Phatty, there is no much, but in YouTube, I like the videos with Marc Doty and Amos, but you probably k...

Re: USB Connectivity Issue Sub Phatty to Mac
I got a new iMac running Mountain Lion, and I have also been experiencing problems with USB connections. Not all the time, but sometimes. Most of the time I keep Komplete Audio 6 and an Oplab connected, sometimes a USB hub and/or an external hard drive. Sometimes the KA6 or the Oplab don't show up. ...

Re: Polyphonic Sub Phatty Controller
Now that I got mine, I don't care for the rest of the world No, honestly, glad they're shipping more to the UK. There seems to be a lot of demand. I got mine from Rubadub. Their stock lasted like 2 ways, a weekend... I'm so happy to have one of the first thousand.

Re: Polyphonic Sub Phatty Controller
Searching everywhere in the UK, I had given up hopes of getting a Sub Phatty this year, so I decided to start building my first Eurorack modular. But now I seem to have found a seller with some in stock... Oh, well, I suppose the Eurorack was also inevitable, and it could go well with the Sub Phatty...

Re: Polyphonic Sub Phatty Controller
Sadly, I just been told my Sub Phatty wouldn't get delivered until like September, and the seller wasn't even sure they could send me one then, so I cancelled my order. Perhaps I might be able to buy one next year, if we ever get more Sub Phatty's here in the UK. If you got yours, enjoy! All the bes...

Re: Polyphonic Sub Phatty Controller
Thanks for your answers! I'm looking forward to get my SP. I've been watching videos, a couple of then by Amos, I believe, but I haven't seen the SP controlling soft-synths, only Ableton Live... And not sure the polyphony issue was mentioned. As far as I can remember, it's not mentioned in the manua...

Polyphonic Sub Phatty Controller
Hi... I asked the question on a Slim Phatty thread, but since I didn't get any answers... Maybe it's a stupid question, but I just want some reassurance. Does the Sub Phatty allow me to play, as a controller, other synths (soft synths) polyphonically? I would love to try all those knobs with DIVA, b...

Re: Little phatty for polyphonic synth?
I just got an LP yesterday, I'm primarily a guitar player but I won it for free so I figured I should learn how to use it! I was just wondering if when I run MIDI I can play it like a polyphonic keyboard or not. Also any other info for a newbie synth player would be greatly appreciated! It's midi o...
