OK it's been a almost a month since my last bump on this & still no answer. Kinda feel like the beta testers are being ignored now....NOT GOOD

I updated the Firmware today & it went without a hitch. Still wouldn't mind finding out if the dodgy beta boot loader will be sorted at some time.

If you're on OS v2 already, you don't need to update the bootloader. Simple as that.
If you were a beta tester, then you're on OS v2 :)

So I spent a few hours today creating patches via the editor vst in ableton (which was great fun :) ) & there was absolutely no loss of midi connection. I haven't got a clue what caused it, but It happened yesterday morning about 4 times. But with 3 or 4 hours of use in ableton yesterday evening ...

Not that I'm doubting you, mind you -- just, it makes no sense.

1) try re-loading the same firmware, something may have gone amiss
2) try reverting to older firmware, see if the problem goes away, then put the new firmware ...
