Re: Sub Phatty Ableton Live Workflow
I use the "external instrument" plugin in ableton to designate it as the controller and designate the audio input to hear the audio. Yes, this is what I did before using the VST. However, you have to disable the midi in and out of the Sub in Ableton to be able to use the VST, because the ...

Sub Phatty Ableton Live Workflow
Hey, I've been playing with the new shiny editor and I think I just don't get how I should be using it with Ableton. Basically, there's two problems : - The plugin is provided as instrument or effect. However, there's no audio routing functionality in the plugin. What's the preferred way to get the ...

Re: Sub Phatty TouchOSC Control Panel for iPod/iPhone
I don't know. It depends on how the TouchOSC app handle things. The layout is build around the size of the iPod and iPhone, so I guess that if it works, it will be either scaled to the iPad screen or all in one corner. However, it's not very hard to build an iPad version, I'll see what I can do.

Sub Phatty TouchOSC Control Panel for iPod/iPhone 4/iPad
Hey all, Here's the TouchOSC control panel that I was talking about in another thread. iPhone 4/iPod : http://pastelink.me/dl/eeaafa iPad : http://pastelink.me/dl/7d28d2 Install To install it, given that you have the TouchOSC app, you can simply use iTunes. Plug your iOS device, select it and go to ...

Re: Sub Phatty hidden settings are killing me (filter poles)
Alright I'll try to fix it (some control are incorrectly assigned) and I'll make a new thread to share it with everybody. Also I'll see if I can add a fetch button to ask the Sub to send its parameters so they can be displayed on the control panel.

Re: Sub Phatty hidden settings are killing me (filter poles)
Do you have an iPod/iPhone? If so, you could download TouchOSC (5 bucks) and I'll send you the control panel that I made. It will let you control all the hidden parameters like the Editor does. Couple that with an iRig (60-70 bucks) and you got a pretty standalone solution. The next step would be to...

Re: Sub Phatty beta firmware - final bug roundup
Maybe you changed the osc 2 beat frequency? Go to hidden panel mode and turn the osc 2 freq. knob +7, - 7 and then set it as close to zero as possible.
For the octave shift, notes should retrigger when you press the buttons.

Re: SLOP
Usually, this is done with a S+H and a lag processor. There's one in the CP-251, but it might be a bit complicated to setup, because you still need to control the pitch with the keyboard.

Re: Sun Phatty firmware suggestions
Hmm, unless I'm missing something, most of your suggestions would be either impossible to implement given the current interface or very hard to use (i.e. hidden parameters). For example, how would you change the modulation source independently of the filter, pitch and waveform? What would be the wor...

Re: Sub Phatty for vintage (80s) sounds?
There : http://sharesend.com/mfo5f695 Triangle, Saw, Square, 50% Pulse, 100% Pulse, Variable waveform. Filter 0% resonance, 50% and 80%. Overall, the resonance is much more pronounced than the Model D, similar to the Voyager, but the oscillators are richer than the Voyager. So, no, the Sub Phatty is...

Re: Sub Phatty for vintage (80s) sounds?
Interesting video. I didn't know the Model D's oscillators were that bright. I'll see if I could do similar tests for the oscillators and filters with the Sub. That should gives you an idea how close (and different) it is to the Model D.
