I don't plan on getting one, I'd prefer a Mother 32 since it's a complete synth module (no need for an external keyboard if need be), but this is an interesting comparison video:

Re: Can you edit Minitaur's CC implementation?
Alas.. thank you for the reply though.
Edit: Although it looks like if I get a MIDI Solutions Event Processor it should solve all of my problems getting my devices to speak to each other properly.

Can you edit Minitaur's CC implementation?
I'm thinking about getting a Minituar and am wondering if you can edit any of its MIDI CC implementation? For example, can you edit the CC for the filter? I want to know because I'd like to use it with some keyboards where I can't map the knobs (like the Bass Station 2). I've checked out the manuals...

Re: Is the Werkstatt more than a toy?
Got all of the knobs in. They are actually kind of loose and don't come close to sticking. I also don't feel that the knobs are too close together. Perhaps I ordered different knobs. These are #4 Synth Pointers from Small Bear. I did not order knurled shaft. http://www.smallbearelec.com/servlet/Det...

Re: Least Obese Moog Synth
I'm sure the mix was part of the problem, as I wasn't tweaking much with the EQ and mostly playing multple synths together live. But it wasn't bad or anything, the Minituar is just a huge sounding synth!

Least Obese Moog Synth
I recently got a Minitaur. Great warm synth, but incredibly huge and devoured everything in the mix so it had to go back. So, I love the Moog sound but, as strange as it may seem, I need something less "fat". I'm thinking maybe the Slim Phatty? I probably should act soon on this one if I s...

Minitaur Paraphonic Sequencing
I was watching the Sonic State video for the MS-20 and Nick was sequencing it paraphonically with the new Korg SQ-1. That made me wonder if the same could be done with the Minitaur using its CV mapping. I don't have one yet, but am considering it. Can anyone confirm or deny whether this is possible?...

Re: I tried both SlimP and SubP, and....
I've tried them both out side by side and came to similar conclusions. Something about the Slim's sound was "just right." I want to buy one but am going very slowly on my decision to buy and demoing it quite a bit at the music store. I swore I'd never get a synth with an interface like tha...

Re: Bob Moog's Archives moving to Cornell University
The Bob Moog Foundation does have a physical address. From their website: "If you’d like to come visit us in person our physical address is: 2 Wall St. Suite 108 Asheville, NC 28801" I'd love to go to a Moogseum and I like the Foundation, but I also understand why Dr. Grams-Moog is making ...

Drive on MF-101
I'm thinking about buying this pedal but wanted to ask if anyone can tell me what kind of of distortion you can get using the drive knob. I'm not looking for anything too intense. I just love that warm, gritty, overdriven analogue sound. Thanks!

Re: sub phatty solo
Very nice! Not only is it a good piece of music but it helps dissuade the fears of those of us who were worried about whether or not the Sub has a soft side or not. Thanks!

Re: Is my Subphatty able to recreate Little Phatty sounds?
I don't mind the stable oscillator, but it looks like the SP's architecture is geared towards an aggressive sound. Which is useful, but I would like plenty of soft sounds as well. Probably more so than the aggressive. I think I'd be happier with the LP but I never did gel with the interface at all w...

Re: Is my Subphatty able to recreate Little Phatty sounds?
What do you mean by more of a "true analog" sound exactly? I'm interested in the Sub Phatty as my first Moog synth as well so I'm interested to know what you mean by that since it seems like a red flag to me!
