Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests
- EXPERT mode where standard envelope routing is disabled, potentially other hard routings that don't relate to a fixed panel control? THe hard routings are only as fixed as you decide they are. Just don't turn up the amount at the target. You can do as you wish in the matrix to set the routing of ...

midi timing and sync have definitely been reported and acknowledged. So, we should see improvement/fixes at some point in the not to distant future.

Re: Moog One Bugs
Not sure how common this is, but the filter cutoff frequency of the ladder filter varies from voice to voice . Most noticeable if you have the filter self-resonate, set the tracking to 100% and play the filter as an oscillator, as one does..... My gut says that this is simply a calibration thing. I...

Re: Headroom / Clipping
This is a can of worms discussion that has a gazzillion answers.. Here's one take on it. Piano's, organs etc.. have the same "problem". Hitting 10 keys is louder than hitting 1 key. Pianists use velocity to control volume Organists use swell/volume pedals Electric pianists use a combinatio...

Re: Sustain Pedal Patch Configuration Question
I think I answered you on GS, but for those that come here ...
You use the first parameter in Settings->CV-Input to make the values preset dependent. Then go down to Sustain Pedal setting at the bottom of that list and set it to the synths you want. Save the patch.

Re: Moog One Bugs
I can confirm on my unit that the wave angle mod does affect the square version of the oscillator even when mix 100% square.

Re: Moog One's TRIPHONIC MODE
You can set the egs not to retrigger/reset and set the voice allocation to 2. That should give you duophonic action.
EDIT: yeah I know this isn't a per oscillator version. You can just get the same sort of vibes going.

Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody
To add to the excellent posts above - Putting the 2 filters in series, SVF in LP, Cutoff at Max, resonance cranked, but listening only to the output of the Ladder can get things even more aggressive and buzzy. Oh yeah .. this for sure. I was really surprised how much interactions the filters have e...

Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody
Another biggie for Poly ... use the SVF
Also, use the SVF in LP and the Ladder in HP in series for 12 db mono. Unfortunately it doesn't self oscillate so you don't quite get to those really aggressive ends of the scale.
You can also use the SVF in parallel to get the bass back into the Ladder.

Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody
There is a tendency, which I totally understand, to grab an init patch, turn on the default saw waves, crank up some resonance on the ladder filter and expect to hear a Mini. Doesn't happen. I miss the immediacy of that! What would you suggest as a shortcut to Mini on the One? I made a set of saw, ...

Re: Moog One Bugs
This one's intermittent. Sometimes I'm making a sequence on Synth 1 and I'll go to Synth 2 or Synth 3 to add another layer, and both Synths aren't responding. I try everything from voice count, VCA level, OSC levels (you name it!) and they don't make a sound. I haven't been able to re-create it on ...

Re: Moog One Bugs
Another one that I forgot to open a ticket about ..
Relative mode doesn't work consistently across all the controls. I haven't figured out exactly which things aren't working, but it is a lot of the front panel controls. It's really annoying for that and takeover not to work.

Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody
Ears are also responsible for horrible confirmation bias aliasing... I have actual oscilloscopes, tone generators etc.. For the practical purposes of the discussion the scopes and analysis tools on the computer through quality DACs is sufficient. The wave shapes on the One are NOT voyager sha...

Re: Moog One Bugs
I often can't undo mono mode.
I have to go to synth 2 or 3 and enable disable the keyboard
Then I can go back to synth one and disable mono mode.

Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody
If there is one thing that I've learned over the many years of owning and playing many different synths, it's that you cannot rely solely on traces on an oscilloscope to compare the overall sounds between them. You must trust your ears instead. Because they're much better at hearing things than our...
