Not normal. Looks like possibly a cracked solder joint on the panel pcb of that section. i would suggest contacting Moog Music about it and see what they say.

Very upsetting. I have just bought it brand new. Could it be damaged whilst in transit?

The knob functions in a sporadic way. Also amount of that knob changes when I apply pressure on the front ...
