I am able to do this with MIDI Designer Pro and Animoog, notes and CC changes are instantly received in Animoog running in the background. So I would guess you don't have an Animoog issue, but I'm on old software (iOS 7 and Animoog 2.1.1) so maybe its a new bug that popped up in the later revisions?...

I love Moog, but... the way I see it, someone at Moog is busy building synths. Audiobus is definitely not yet fully implemented.

Moog, I think you need to get the Audiobus guys to add the app to their registry. It does not show up in the list of compatible app inputs. Also, many thanks for the hard work! Any recommendations on a sound pack to show my support?

This is an operating system bug. iOS 7 doesn't render the screen properly when scaling iPhone apps on a iPad. I thought it was fixed in an iOS 7 update... If it wasn't, then sadly there is nothing Moog can do about this.
