I've got an Andromeda and here's my two cents:
If you are into analog synthesis and programming your own sounds, the Andromeda is a synth that will keep you happily busy for YEARS. The mod matrix is mind-boggling. It is very deep and very complex. And very very flexible.
Someone said that the ...

Tarted-up Blue Minimoog
Hey, if it helps keep Moog Music in business so that they can continue to bring us new products, who cares if they slap together a Minimoog out of cheddar cheese and call it the Mini-moo (g)?
Anyway, no matter how fancy they tart up subsequent Voyagers, my trusty Performer model in boring old oak ...

Don't Sell Your Voyager to Buy a Model D --- Sell Your Car
I can definitely understand the allure of the Model D.
I've had a Voyager for over a year and just recently bought a Model D to keep it company. But then I've wanted a Model D since I was about 13 and Moog was first making them. Now I have the best of both worlds: the sonic versatility ...

Voyager and Andromeda: The Dynamic Duo
I'm a Voyager owner who just added an Andromeda to my setup and I love it.
I use the QuickLok Z726L with the Andromeda on the bottom and the Voyager on top. Sweetwater has this stand for about $199. It's rock solid. Virtually no wobble at all.

"Boogie on Reggae Woman" Moog Bass
For a fascinating insight into Stevie's use of the Moog/Tonto system on his classic track "Boogie On Reggae Woman," read page 184 of the book "Analog Days, The Invention and Impact of the Moog Synthesizer," by Trevor Pinch and Frank Trocco (ISBN: 0-674-00889-9).
It describes how Stevie (with the ...

Sweetwater is the place
Sweetwater Sound is great. If you call, ask for Jason.
Though I bought my Voyager elsewhere (and got an incredible deal because they were making room for the Anniversary Edition) I bought my MoogerFoogers and plenty of other gear from Sweetwater. I've never had a problem. They know their stuff and ...

Big Pot Mapping Limitation?
Thanks for the reply. Some good ideas there.
The thing that mystifies and rather disappoints me is that pot mapping seems to use the STATIC setting of a pot, which seems of limited usefulness.
Why doesn't Pot Mapping map the voltage-controlled setting of the pot instead?
By this I mean that if ...

Pot Mapping Tips?
Pot mapping seems like a potentially very powerful feature of OS 2.0, but truthfully, I'm having a hard time coming up with useful routings --- beyond the obvious ones such as routing performance controls like the mod & pitch wheels to additional parameters.
