You have probably worked it out by now, but hit the options button, then Load and there is a delete option in there.

I'm loving this synth, but I too experienced a crash this morning when playing. New iPad, admittedly with a lot of other apps open. Maybe ran out of memory? Is it worth submitting a bug report somewhere, if this is even possible.
