Re: Staggered oscillators?

Probably it's sample and hold modulating waveshape - this allows you to go to 0% pulse width at on the S+H steps that are above a certain voltage - which makes the VCO silent for that step. One of my favorite tricks. By setting the VCOs to different amounts of pulse width (This is between ~2:00 and ...

Re: Filter and Amplifier Envelope repeat

You can use the LFO (normalled to S+H Gate) to trigger the envelopes In Edit mode check out Vol Envelope Gate source or Filter Envelope gate source. It is a programmable source for when the Gate switch is in the On/ Ext position. It's not the same, but can be used very effectively for a number of th...

Re: MOD wheel to filter...doesn't open filter all the way...

Try using Pot mapping - See EDIT Mode - searching the forum for Pot mapping should return some helpful results.

You can map the Mod wheel to control the Filter Cutoff 100%

Hope that helps...

Re: Minitaur playing the same note over all controller keys

Sounds like you are playing notes above #72.
The Minitaur's pitch range is from MIDI note 0-72 only.

Hope this helps

Re: Minitaur dump

Hi - There is a SysEx command that will cause the MT to send the current state of all of its settings in MIDI CC messages. F0 04 08 1B 00 00 F7 This should work in v1.0.7 which is our current version of firmware. In older versions the switches may not transmit correct values. Contact tech support if...

Re: msb / lsb nrpn not working

Hi Not to start a knowledge contest, but this may affect what Pinkles is trying to do. Although NRPNs can generate a 14-bit resolution Value, they are not the same as using the MIDI CCs from 0-32/33-64 as MSB/LSB 14-bit CC messages. NRPNs work like this: Send a CC#99 as the MSB of the parameter you ...

Re: Minitaur + External Audio Source

Hello - Take a look at the signal diagram of the Minitaur on p. 8 of the user's guide http://www.moogmusic.com/sites/default/files/MINITAUR_MANUAL_0.pdf The Audio Input is summed with the VCOs in the Mixer, then routed to the Filter then to the VCA then output. The VCA level is controlled by the Vol...

Re: msb / lsb nprn not working

The Voyager does not use nrpns - only 14-bit or 7-bit CCs.

A link to the online manual:
http://www.moogmusic.com/sites/default/ ... _combo.pdf

check p76 (p.74 of the .pdf) - there is a table of the CCs used.

Hope that helps

Re: Cluster flux self Oscillation?

The Mixer out level of the Voyager is very hot, and if you have oscillators levels up, they are always running (remember this patch point is pre-VCA), so it is possible that you wouldn't hear the CF self-oscillation. Now if you made sure all the mixer levels are turned down - but then you'll just ge...

Re: Secondhand Voyager buying advices, normal noise levels e

Hi - It's really not normal to monitor the synth with the headphone volume all the way up - it's a POWERFUL headphone amplifier and if you turn up the level of the oscillators with the headphone level all the way up, you will blast your ears. When you crank up the headphone volume level, you also am...

Re: Freqbox Envelope Follower

Hi - The envelope follower is already used to modulate the amplitude of the FB VCO regardless of the Env. Follower amount to VCO pitch. It modulates the gain of a VCA placed before the Mix control. There's no adjustment for the Env. Follower amount to VCA. If you use the normal audio out - the level...

Re: How to convert CV to MIDI?

Have you looked into pd or Max/MSP? both of those programs are modular DSP/MIDI programming environments that have objects for measuring pitch and amplitude. Because the theremin is a monophonic audio signal w/ a simple waveform, it's really easy to extract MIDI data directly from the audio. Did I m...

Did you install a Little Phatty update on a Slim Phatty? button assignments are different in the two units - maybe that's what happened.... Check the file you downloaded from the website - it should be Slim_Phatty_v3_1_672_Update_OSX_0.zip (Mac OS) or Slim_Phatty_v3_1_672_Update_WIN_0.zip (Windows) SD
