Re: Building a Home Studio
Ok I've done a bit of research and have a couple options... 1. RME Fireface 800 (firewire) to a 21.5" or 27" Mac desktop with Logic as my DAW and sampler. UA 6176 vintage channel strip as my main pre/compressor. 2. UA Apollo Duo (thunderbolt) to a 21.5" or 27" Mac desktop with Lo...

Re: Building a Home Studio
Thank you psynthetic, here are some answers to your questions. 1) USB or Firewire? I will probably be purchasing a Mac desktop which supports firewire. 2) How many inputs do i need? and what kinds? do I need mic pres or mostly just line ins? not a singer by any means, but it would be nice to have mi...

Re: Building a Home Studio
Thank you, No the Tempest doesn't load samples, which is actually one of the reasons I love it. As I said, I'm not huge into sampling. Here are the reasons why... 1. I'm a control freak and I like to sculpt my sounds to my liking (which is why I got interested in Moog). I can only do so much to samp...

Building a Home Studio
What sort of recording interfaces would you recommend for a moog-based studio? Thinking about the Digi 003 since its pretty affordable, even tho i know its older. Also, what samplers would you recommend? I love synths and crafting my own sounds, so naturally I'm not really a huge sample kinda musici...

Using Moog for Convincing Bass Guitar sounds
Trying to emulate a real bass guitar on an analog synth. Want to get a close as I can get. Any of you have samples of convincing patches? If yes, which moog did you do it on? Patch instructions please.
Nothing crazy like slap bass. Thank you.

Any Advice for a Sampler?
I'm looking to purchase a serious hardware sampler. What do any of you use or recommend? I generally don't like samples, I like to craft my sounds myself. However, I feel if I found the right tool I could get more into sampling. It would primarily be used for atmospherics for tracks, as my moogs/dru...

Moog Keyboard Stands
I'm looking to buy some keyboard stands for my moog-based studio. Ran out of room putting them on furniture.
I absolutely HATE keyboard stands that wiggle when you play them. Are there any keyboard stands that you use in your studio that doesn't wiggle when you play them?

MOOG SUB 37
I'm sold. A new moog paraphonic synth, 1-knob per function (or at least I assume so from the picture), on-board arpeggiator with no menu-diving, multidrive, multi-mode filter, etc. Seems like this has combined everything great about the other phatties. Now I'm just hoping it looks as good as it will...

New Products you'd like to see at NAMM 2014
I'd personally like to see a Moog Analog Drum machine. Something that could give the linndrum, 808, 909, tempest and machinedrum a run for their money, Ideally, I'd like 1 knob (or button) per function, or at least minimal menu diving (something that would greatly improve upon the tempest). Great sa...

Does anyone have a method to buff out any light scratches from the touch panel? Mine's getting pretty bad.

tone advice
i love moog tones, but so often i hear the same old sounds coming from people's moogs. I keep hearing the same bass tones and prog sounding leads over and over again, and I want to flex my voyager's muscle and get more minimal tones that aren't often associated with the moog brand. below is a song t...

Voyager 1-2 Sync
When I turn on the 1-2 Sync on my Voyager, my 2nd oscillator automatically goes up one octave, even if both my 1st and 2nd oscillators are at the exact same foot when turning on the sync. I contacted moog about and they said this is normal...but didn't explain why. I used to own an Old School model ...

x0xb0x for Sub Phatty trade
I have a brand new Modemachine's x0xb0x purchased last month for 800 dollars. Only used in my studio once. I'm want to trade for a used Sub Phatty as a gift to my brother, who wants to get into synthesizers, but can't afford one for his life!
