Re: Minitaur firmware update soon - your requests here pleas
Hey Amos! I like the new update; it makes for a nice set of refinements. I'm still trying to figure out how to make the ADSR envelope reset its attack on every key press. Is there a step by step set of instructions you or anybody else could provide? I've used the editor to make the synth reset the E...

Re: Minitaur firmware update soon - your requests here pleas
Amos, Looking forward to installing this! I know I've asked before, but I don't remember getting an answer - would it be possible to extend note playing beyond C5? Regardless of accurate tuning, I would LOVE to hear higher notes (I enjoy an out of tune synth). If at all possible, could it be a setti...

Re: Minitaur - make attack reset on every key press
I don't use the editor nor USB, but sometimes Din-Midi. The CC number to switch trigger mode is 73. Programmed from my Akai Max 49, it does work as planned. Try to program a button or slider on your controller and see if it works for you. See if the editor sends the proper CC and value. (read manua...

Re: USB keyboard
I have an Alesis Q25, it's powered by USB. I had to buy a converter - from wall outlet to USB. I got it for $15 at Walgreens (Energizer brand). You can get 'em for less, I was in a hurry. It plugs into the MIDI port of the Minitaur. I don't know if the MicroKey 25 will be both powered by USB and sti...

Re: Minitaur - make attack reset on every key press
In the editor (under the hood settings) within "Trigger" section is a switch. You'll want it on EG Reset to re-trigger the envelope on every key. Thanks for answering me! That's the thing that I tried and it didn't work. I tried that and I also turned off the sustain. Does length of relea...

Minitaur - make attack reset on every key press
Is there a way to do this? I tried to find it on the Minitaur editing software, but what I thought would do that, didn't.

Minitaur Pitch Change beyond C5 - OS or Hardware Limitation?
I'm just curious to know. Personally, I would not mind being able to go beyond C5 with the oscillators even if that meant the pitch wouldn't track properly. I like to use the filter tracking at 50% sometimes, just to get the half-tones in there. It's a feature that allows for some interesting "...

Re: Minitaur firmware update soon - your requests here pleas
Less "sensitive" LFO's would be nice - Sometimes I would like to add a bit of vibrato to the sound via the LFO, but after a very small turn (like 2mm) it goes right into full vibrato and then even more wacky and wild vibrato. That was funny  Frozen mod section, that's what it is. Sor...

Re: Minitaur upper octaves
If I'm not mistaken, you can go 2 octaves in range via Minitaur editor on any particular patch. But the upper reach of the OSCs are fixed regardless of pitch bend or tuning. I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Are you saying with the editor you can go up to C7? The oscillators themselves are l...

Re: How to Make the Filter Track 100% in a Preset Sound
Randy,
No problem - I've been using synths for 17 years and I'm STILL learning. I found this out by happy accident, the filter tracking issue.

All sounds, less the drum machine are made with the Minitaur and a variety of cassette techniques and effects. http://soundcloud.com/deuterostome/watch-shadows-hover-near I just love the atmosphere and texture of that track. The 16th note beat is stressing, goes very well with the sounds here! Brav...

Re: How to Make the Filter Track 100% in a Preset Sound
Randy, Oh, no problem - sorry, I was typing faster than I thought. So, I like to make a saw wave piano sound, very basic, no attack, long decay, some sustain. I can save that as a preset with no particular issues. If I decide I want to make a purely 100% filter-tracking tone with no oscillator sound...
