Re: Model 15 Oscillator warble
Yeah it's definitely the octave switch because basic things like blowing on it helped a bit - put even different finger pressure on the switch can bend the pitch. I'll try this spray first and then I guess it's off to the tech.

Model 15 Oscillator warble
Hi
One of the 921b's on my model 15 has suddenly started doing random pitches or warbling when I move the octave switch.
The 921b next to it is fine.
Any ideas what might be causing that ?
Thanks.

Re: Model 10+15 Oscillator Tracking
I have both the model 10 and model 15. The 901 tracks different to the 901bs and the 921 tacks different to the 921bs. Is there some technical reason that happens ? It can be quite a challenge to use all 3 oscillators because of it. Thanks :) Same here on my Synth-Werk. And getting a 901ABBB combin...

Re: Choosing between Model 10 and 15
Well I did it, I made a down payment on a Model 15. :D Hoping to have it sometime in May. I'm looking to control it with an Arturia KeyStep (with S-trig converter cables). Even if I get a Complement B someday, I think I would still like to have the unique features of the KeyStep sequencer and arpeg...

Re: Model 10 Calibration
Just a bit more info for anybody wanting the same solution : The 3 pots on the left hand side seem to be for tracking and I managed to extend the range from less than one octave to 3.5. Oddly this morning that had extended to 5 octaves while completely cold, but seems to be getting less and less whi...

Re: Model 10 Calibration
It's the re-issue yes, but not the very latest one with improved tuning from last year. My 901 can be in tune on middle C - one octave above that is +23 cents, and one octave below is -39, anything beyond there is pointless. That's with the Kenton Pro 2000 Mk2. The 901 a+B combo can be ok for around...

Model 10 Calibration
I've had my Model 10 for a couple of years now and pretty much gave up on the oscillators because of the poor tracking, even with the scaleable tracking on my Kenton Pro. Last night I saw a Model 10 youtube video and the tuning over several octaves seemed pretty good, even matching well between the ...

Re: Model 10 Mixer question
Thanks, this was just audio from dotcom into the model 10 mixer. Moog support said it’s fine too although it is possible to damage the mixer so to take care with audio levels.

Model 10 Mixer question
Hi,
I'm currently putting my Dotcom system through my Model 10 via the mixer module. The Dotcom output is much louder than the Model 10s 901s and I wondered if there is a risk of damaging the mixer by introducing very hot signals - or will it just nicely overdrive?
many thanks
Paul

Re: Moog Model 10 > Kenton Pro-2000 > MIDI keyboard
I use the Kenton Pro 2000 mk2 and have 2 Jack to S-trig cables, one coming out of ch A gate and the other out of Ch B gate and obviously set to S-trig. Then I can have one of the EGs for the filter. The other option is Moon modular who have Jack to (what I presume is an) Strig to Vtrig convertor at ...

Re: Moog Model 10 Tuning and Warm Up Time
Have you got any photos of them, and where you put them etc ?Rarecomponentadsr wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 2:26 pm I made natty little thermal jackets out of thick packing foam for the relevant transistors in the 901a/b ‘s
Seems to help and worth it for the sound of the 901b’s.
Takes an hour and costs nothing.

Re: Moog Model 10 Tuning and Warm Up Time
I was thinking about this earlier today. It is very possible that some of your tuning issues are due to temperature fluctuations. In 79, I was crazy enough to use the IIP on stage at the Troubadour in LA. Every time a spotlight was on me, it also hit the Moog and the tuning when to s*&t. Last t...

Re: Moog Model 10 Tuning and Warm Up Time
ah that is good to know! I was responding to AlakaLaslow's post where he said they threw off the scaling? maybe that's not the cause then OP did you make any progress on your model 10 tuning/warmup? My 901A throws off the scaling, I have to keep it in one position and alter the octaves on the oscil...
