Re: RIP Moogerfooger

Dang, sad day, indeed. :(
Everything I own from Moog (except the Minitaur) is now Legacy.

Might be time to pickup one or two spare MoogerFoogers before they all disappear and/or become completely unaffordable...

Re: ipad 2 best advice on iOS version

I've been keeping my iPad 2 up to date, and without a doubt it takes some hits running the latest iOS updates. Slower load times, slower internet browsing seem to be the most noticeable changes. As long as you're using a single synth at a time, you're probably fine running the latest updates. Howeve...

Re: Latest Slim Phatty USB MIDI issues

Sounds like you might need to set the MIDI input source on the Slim Phatty -
It's selected under the "MIDI SETUP" global menu setting.

Should be on page 32 of the owners' manual...

Re: Little phatty and yellow keys

Maybe the environment you're keeping it in has some impact on the yellowing keys?

I keep my Little Phatty in a smoke-free air conditioned room, and keep a dust cover on it when not in use.
I bought it new 3 years ago, and it still looks fine.

Re: connecting Midid Murf via the MIDI Thru omn my voyager X

Welcome back to making music!! :D Even though the standard is a bit dated now (enhancements are on the way!, MIDI is a very powerful control system, with about a gazzilion different ways to make things work!! MIDI setups can be very simple, or extremely complex - Once you start digging in, try to ke...

Re: connecting Midid Murf via the MIDI Thru omn my voyager X

We're probably going to need some clarification on what exactly you can or can't do - When you say "I have the MIDI Murf plugged into the MIDI port on the Voyager it still doesn't seem to work" - What exactly isn't working? What MIDI feature are you trying to control, and how are you tryin...

Re: Example settings for Mooger's?

Moog posted this product demo video that shows several MoogerFoogers in action, along with settings used for each of the particular sounds.
Brief, but you might find it helpful:

Re: Slim Phatty noob - pitch bend

It sounds like you might just need to calibrate ~ One of the joys/quirks of true analog! Run all the calibration routines per the manual, and that will hopefully tale care of your issue. Be sure to let the Slim warm up a good 30 minutes or so before running the routines! It may take a while to run a...

I thought that this was a forum for exchanging about a shared passion amongst members and visitors: synthesizers. Not about religion, or politics, or bigotry, or sexual orientation, or whatever else. There are numerous other places on the net for talking about those, let's keep this forum free from...

Re: CP-251 question

Sounds like it might be patched through a reverb - but other than that, it sounds like it's all Little Phatty; the CP-251 is just doing some interesting things with the modulation. Check out some of the Little & Slim Phatty presets (interchangeable between the two synths) available for download ...

Re: Slim Phatty and a Step Sequencer

The Slim Phatty should be able to work with just about any sequencer that sends note/gate information via MIDI or CV. The Slim Phatty, like most Moog synths, is monophonic, so it can only play one note at a time. But, the Pink Floyd classic "On the Run" sequence is also played one note at ...
