Re: Holy God, Minitaur has balls for days.

Ha!! Awesome! I'll be putting mine through a PA soon. I can't wait for the sonic craziness.

If you've got a FreqBox, run the OSC out to the Minitaur Filter CV and tweak the filter cut off and the resonance. I was getting some intense formant type sounds last night. I'll be recording them today.

Re: VCO 2 out of tune

I would say those two are the ones that should be sent from time to time. No, the bootloader is only used when you are updating the firmware. Thanks again. The note calibration is self explanatory. I've run Sysex messages before. However for the pot calibration do I send all 3 messages or just the ...

One more question: Do I need to be in bootloader mode to send the sysex commands from the link provided?

Re: VCO 2 out of tune

Thank you for your input. This has been extremely helpful. Should I run all of the Sysex commands in that folder from time to time?

I don't have a Minitaur, but that sounds like normal performance for an analog synth to me.

I've heard that's how the old minimoogs were. But from what I understand the newer synths should be in tune all the time.

Re: VCO 2 out of tune

Also when the vco2 freq knob is turned slightly to the left the oscillators are in tune.

VCO 2 out of tune

Hi all, I recently got the Minitaur and while it's a nasty synth I noticed that VCO2 is not in tune with VCO1 when the VCO2 frequency knob is at 12 o'clock. Also when you get to 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock I'm getting to the octave above or below before getting to hard left and right. Anyone out there kn...

EP3 question

Can you use unbalanced patch cables with an EP3? I'm using the expression pedal with the CP251.

I love my SD. It really adds a nice ambience and overal tone to the sax. I posted some samples in another thread.

Re: A few samples of the MF104MSD with the sax

bamorello Great clips! it is great to hear the MFs being used for acoustic instruments. I use mine on gongs and a waterphone. I'd love to hear ore with the 101 and cp251. Please let us know as you upload more clips. Thanks slabwax!! I'll be posting more on Soundcloud in the next couple of weeks. I'...

Re: CP251 question

The CP251 is a very cool piece of gear. I combined the triangle and square wave from the LFO and sent it the time on the MF104MSD. Really cool bleep.
