Re: The minutaur as a bass synth, not as powerful as a T3

Never had the pleasure to compare these side by side but probably all to do with the filter and overall harmonic distortion.

Re: Note freeze?

Yep - had this on a few occasions. Had to disconnect the power supply.

Maybe this has been addressed in Rev2 (?)

Yes - thought about that, but hadn't tried it yet.

Re: Upper Note Limitation

All sounds very technical..! I had no idea it was constructed like this. As for the upper note, I have actually used this limitation to my advantage, ie by having Osc 2 detuned by an octave while Osc 1 is fixed. I can then play a melody in C on Osc 2 whilst Osc 1 holds the note. I'm still unsure how...

Re: Upper Note Limitation

But is this consistent with the fact that the Minitaur has a CV/Gate input?

Does this imply it is actually a v/oct system?

Upper Note Limitation

Obviously the Minitaur is billed as a bass machine - and definitely no complaints there - but what was the point of arbitrarily restricting the oscillators to only play up to a certain note value? I think it would sound excellent in the higher registers, especially when combined with some audio-rang...

Re: Minitaur: Digital Noise via USB

Until now, I'd never heard of an opto-coupler for a USB cable.

Thanks for the information. I'll check it out.

Re: Minitaur VCO2 Offsets for 2-Note Melodies

So, what you're saying is that the pitch of VCO2 can be independently controlled..?

That could be fun!

Re: Minitaur Problems in Ableton

As far as I understand it, whilst the Minitaur has an all analogue signal path, all the features can be under digital (MIDI) control, which might be where this issue arises. I'd first recommend you download the latest version of the Editor, which is at version 1.0 and see if that helps. Second, open...

Minitaur: drawing filter curves in Logic

As a test, I recorded a filter sweep manually, then replaced my hand moves with a much smoother line with just 3 nodes for min, max, and back down to min again. Surprisingly - at least in Logic - the drawn filter sweep sounded very stepped, ie the filter wasn't smoothly gliding but moving from one p...

No, I think they are all supposed to be very smooth without resistance or scratching.

Minitaur: LFO wave shape

Is there any way of changing the LFO from a simple sine wave into, say, a sawtooth?

I know I can do this manually by drawing the cc's, but wondered if this can be achieved any other way.

Would be very useful for modulated Dubstep bass lines for instance.

Minitaur: LFO Rate & Logic oddities

I've also tried the Minitaur with Logic and noticed a few strange things happening with the LFO Rate. During one session, turning the LFO Rate away from the minimum position caused the overall volume to drop drastically. And in another session, moving the LFO Rate turned on the solo buttons on the f...
