It has been a very long time since I looked but I am fairly certain the serial number is on the back on a small panel at one of the corners.

An update on my situation.
I have since "downgraded" to v1.14 and my Taurus is now playable again. I did loose all the new midi upgrades though, I miss the Midi Transpose the most.

This video here demonstrates that in the past there was no tone above a C3, It should be C4 based on the MIDI Implementation Chart in the manual but the point is that there is no tone heard.
