Multimoog vs. Minimoog Model D

Ok,

tell me your opinion.
Does the Multimoog sound as good as a model D?
It's surely a cheaper alternative.

Thank You

Yes Don, it's a matter of taste, that's why i don't play my Roland JX 10, i thoght that i like it, but changed my mind, also don't play my yamaha motiv 6 and do not own casio keyboards. I'm not sure if i like my voyager really as i play my old model d(s# 2590) most of the time. But i always like my ...

What are the best sounding Model D's?

This is a question to all who know the complete history of Moog Company and Minimoog Model D.
What are the best sounding Minimoogs?
The R.A. Moog, the Musonics or the later ones up to s# 10175?

Thanks

Which mini sounds best?

Hi Kevin,

if you know many of the old minis, which of the serial numbers do sound best? The early R.A. Moogs, the Musonics or other? I've heard they all sound a little bit different.
Please let me know?

Thank you
Zlatko

Yes they changed the wood a few times, in general the dark walnut case is more valueable and looks much better to me.

Voyager Keyboard

Right mee3d, i've had a signature edition for checking which had a different keyboard than the later bought performer edition s# 1970. The later one was more weighted and has rounded keys. I had the chance to touch a aniversary edition and it had a keyboard which had the most weighted keys of all. i...

Thanks for your opinion Mal, you have a nice collection of vintagesynths. Do you still use them all? Have you ever regret one purchase of your listed gear? It's great that analog gear is affordable today, so i can choose what i like without spending 10000 of $s, allthough i made some mistakes in the...

Winwood Sound

Yes, i like "Valerie", "While you see a chance"(Multimoog), Finer Things very much too, but one of the most musical Minimoog-Lead setting is found on the record "Back in the high life" on the song "My love's leaving". It is so warm and sweet and sonic, unbelie...
