Re: Claravox with expression pedal

After lots of experimentation and random tweaking of the editor app, I found a solution to the expression pedal issue. I had to change the CV In global settings to: CV In scale = 100% CV In voltage offset = -5v CV range = ±5v The default setting in the app, and presumably in the Claravox straight ou...

Re: Claravox with expression pedal

I think I figured out the CV In routing, but still can't get my expression pedals to work. I assume that the Claravox is not outputting voltage on the TRS jack to power a pedal.

Claravox with expression pedal

I haven't figured out how to get an expression pedal to work properly with the Claravox filter cutoff. I started digging around in the editor app for iPad and Mac OS. I don't see any controls for routing the CV In to other parameters either. I did confirm that CV In does work with an external LFO si...

Re: Minitaur editor bug?

Hmm. I've found a way to solve the problem, but I still don't know what the problem is, exactly. It has something to do with MIDI CC message from the mod wheel of my keyboard. If I turn on the CC filter in the editor software and turn up the mod wheel value on my keyboard to maximum, everything seem...

Minitaur editor bug?

I have been trying out the new editor update. Mostly, I think it is great! However, it seems to have a bug related to the VCF LFO AMT knob value. When transmitting a patch to the hardware, that knob value doesn't update until I either slightly nudge that knob on the front panel of the synth or that ...

Re: My substitute for the missing ADSR fooger

I just tried out the MIDI Murf as a VCA, after reading about it in another forum post. That works well, too.

My substitute for the missing ADSR fooger

I have all of the recent/current moogerfoogers and minifoogers. They are fun for processing other synths or for making weirdly unpredictable self-generating music, but I have been wanting to get them to work more like a keyboard-controllable or sequencer-controllable standalone modular synth for qui...

Re: Rekon Phatty editor problem: SOLVED!

After further experimentation with this combination of the rekon Phatty editor and VSTHost, I've found that the previously discussed "get patch" bug remains a problem.

Rekon Phatty editor problem: SOLVED!

I've been struggling off-and-on for years (!) to get the standalone version of the Rekon Phatty editor/librarian to work properly with my Slim Phatty and my PC. With the price of the Slim Phatty dropping since its discontinuation, I recently bought two more, so that I could have 3-note polyphony. Th...

Re: Composing with the Theremini

I finally have my new album put together. You can stream it or download it at bandcamp. Payment is optional, but much appreciated My Moog Theremini is featured on tracks 1, 4 and 9. Almost everything else was created with various combinations of moogerfoogers, minifoogers and Slim Phatty, plus a few...

Re: Composing with the Theremini

Hi rickreid, Indeed, your Theremini tracks on SoundCloud are very interesting! Have you thought of toggling the setting to make them downloadable directly from SoundCloud? Is there an other way that I can get a copy of your Theremini tracks (to put on my iPod and be able to listen to them offline)?...

Re: Composing with the Theremini

Rick, Rosetta's Tune is great. Is that all Theremini? What other techniques did you use to do this? How did you get that wonderful "crackling sound"? Rich Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. Every instrument sound came from the Theremini. That crackling sound is a new patch called BTWEENWOR...

Re: Theremini editor App - is it Not working for anyone else

After I posted my original message, I decided to buy a new lightning-to-usb adapter cable. I had thought that was the least likely cause of the problem, but everything worked fined when I tried the new adapter. I can't figure out how my original adapter could suddenly fail like that. Weird! I had us...

Re: Composing with the Theremini

I have found that the pitch correction and the note display make for an effective way to play individual notes in a chord. I use an EHX Chill Switch to mute the signal while I find the note, then quickly unmute the signal for a staccator effect. You can hear it on this recording: https://soundcloud....
