supposedly the schumann pll did a descent job of tracking pitch. It is impossible to get them though.

Matt

i own schumann PLL #3. the tracking is pretty sharp, though it's often hard to tell once you get the loop track and two harmonies going. even though i've had it since 2003 or so, i still ...

thanks for the info, everyone. yes, it does seem to be nycases under a different name. i think i'll avoid them and keep my eyes open for used cases.

just seems that every other stock key case on the market starts at 40" long. that may work out well because if i cut some custom foam, i could fit the ...

ever buy from island/crazy cases? (and/or other case ideas?)

i'm looking for a hard case for a moog source and this is about the only option i've come across (short of dropping $350 on a custom case)

here's their ebay store:

http://stores.ebay.com/CrazyCaseStore

cheap ata-style cases, available with or without recessed hardware.

decent feedback ...

i've been looking for a source for a while. they've been getting very expensive.

the average ebay price has been around $850 over the last 6 months or so. many go for over $1000 (one sold for $1400 recently), and even with questionable electronic condition and poor cosmetics, they'll still fetch ...

it's been a few years and i don't recall the specifics on what does what, but what struck me about the board when i first used it was that it would just keep making noise ad naseum.

i ordered a copy of the manual (which reads like a grad thesis on analogue synthesis) from someone online and it all ...

great score. where'd you get it?

i owned one of these suitcase synths for a few years, fun to screw with, great for weird experimental noises, but i never found too many practical uses for it. sure looks cool, though.

well well well... moogerfoogers as DISTORTION pedals

tonight, i plugged into my AC-15 and with both in bypass mode, cranked the drive control on my MF ring mod and low pass and was blown away by the big meaty grinding distortion that greeted me.

of course you can't switch it off without a switchable effects loop of some sort, but this is worth a try ...

never seen a wooden rack (though it would be pretty simple to make one)

moog sells this metal rackmount case which will hold three mofos side by side.

it requires removing the side panels off the middle unit.

A big question is...

Will it send CV signals?

It will be incredible if you can use it as a 8 step sequencer to drive the pitch/filter/envelope etc... on the Voyager ot other CV synths.Back to top

that would be unbelievably awesome... using that cv to control the lpf's cutoff or the ring mod ...
