I use the Autotune now mine as an OS with the Feature in it .

If Autotune is good enough for a 1982 MemoryMoog, a 1979 OBX or a 1978 Prophet-5 then it`s fine for a 21st century synth like the LP. Why make life hard for yourself ? . if you need an alternative tuning then disable and mess about.

That could be. I bought my unit with OS 1.03C pre-loaded, and got nearly every OS upgrade installed as they came out. It's quite possible stored filter settings were introduced in OS 2.00, as I'd say 90% of the features were added in 2.00.

There are a number of surface mount parts which need replacing to update a Trib to 3.1 and the difference between 3.1 and 1.03 is minimal when it comes to important features - the update is cheap in the USA (99 bucks) but almost double in the UK it would seem, and ...

I`ll have to try that then, that`s the problem with reading stuff on the Web, it`s so varied. maybe they meant Stage-1 and the OS was earlier and later ones do it? . I noticed that each preset remembers the glide type (legato or not etc) which it didn`t previously , it`ll be good if it remembers ...

I think the Noise and S+H was added as another modulation source and the ability to send Midi clock. But for me, that's basically the end of the useful feature set.

Thanks again for the info :) the other difference between the Stages and the Tribute from what I`ve read is that the Trib has all the controls under Analog control (or whatever its called) whereas the Stages have only a few , this would explain why tribs use different firmware ..

Thanks a lot ! . I`ve contacted Moog about the EEPROM but have yet to hear back- I also used to fix synths of all kinds including EPROM Upgrades so shouldn`t have an issue replacing it even if its surface mounted ...

I`ve checked my LP Tribute and it`s actually 1.02 and not 1.03 - 1.03 is no longer on the Moog site for download and 3.1 won`t load in until I get the EPROM upgrade .. 1.03 adds important stuff such as Autotune so would like the file . could anyone direct me to where it is ..
