Re: what are you doing with your Sub 37?
Hi, At first, I went for patch creation, some being rather extreme and experimental, with a lot of modulation. Then I had my Sunday Experimental Recordings period, during which I made a few tracks dubbing myself. Fun to do, I'll come back to that everytime I have a good idea. Currently, I play arpeg...

Re: editor
Moog told us 'hopefully sometimes during July - August'. I know from working in the software/development world that deadlines are most of the times optimistic... Let's hope They release a beta we can play with. I'm volunteer for testing it Moog!

Re: Sub 37 editor/librarian and VST plugin
Hi,
really, I'm not sure the editor will have VST realtime capabilities through USB. Check what is available here in the forum about the editor, but don't hold back just on the , the Sub 37 is amazing with or without editor/vst plugin.
All the best,
Greg

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch
Sorry for the late answer, I moved from one place to a new one yesterday. Had only internet back today :-). More place, but a lot of cardboard boxes to open and dispatch... So... @Mrnutty: best to post a new message, so I detect there is something new. better than update your own post. I'll update t...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch
@ Everyone here, As the faulty filter plastic pot (do we call it the FFPP :-)?) seems to emerge as a 'common' (1% of occurrence according to Moog) problem, can I ask you all to record (or update if you did already) your Sub37 in the SN Sub37 thread, so we can have a trace of this. Please do submit f...

Re: Saving Sub 37 Patches to a computer
Soon, Moog should release an editor for Moog Sub37 presets with nice gui. I do hope this editor will let the user reorganise/rename/download/upload presets to her/his content. I think it won't be a vst/au plugin, nor a virtual Sub37. I for my part achieved to put back preset syx files to the Sub37 c...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch
If Moog is selling the revised pcb with metal shaft pot, I'd gladly buy one just in case. Moog has a few options/upgraded for their instruments on their website, so that wouldn't be impossible for them to just sell the revised pcb as a safety/replacement options for Sub37 owner. I vote for the optio...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch
That's a valuable info we have here. What Moog should offer is an unlimited warranty time for that particular problem. To change all the earlier pcbs by the new one with the heavy duty pot is a bit hard on them surely (to track down every machine, and offer change for everyone). But maybe to offer f...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch
i doubt very much we can just drill holes in our boards and plunge in a traditional pot in its place. it would require a new board with a mounting hole and the new pot. I agree. Modern circuit boards are often multi-layer, meaning that in addition to the traces you can see on the top and bottom, th...

Re: Sub 37 Filter Cutoff: First Batch vs. Revised Batch
Do you see the little skull-like traces on the pictures? These are the traces of all the other smt pots. One does not simply replace a smt pot by a full size one without punching a hole through the pcb, or more fittingly, by redesigning the entire pcb board to acomodate for the new heavy pot. new bo...

Re: Inside the Sub 37 (video by Markus Fuller)
I really don't know.
Here in the video, the guy gives the production date of the wooden panels, first and sixth or March 2015. I should open mine, but don't want to loose my warranty just to check :-/.
All the best,
Greg

Re: possible problem with sub 37
Hi, pay attention that following the mod wheel intensity settings, your mod can be totally off, if mod wheel is at minimum, and its influence is at 100% (which is the case for one of the two by default). Regarding your other problem, try to see if the phenomenon is there as you describe it, and then...

Re: Inside the Sub 37 (video by Markus Fuller)
An interesting thing to see is the filter potentiometer, that is a bigger one than all the small smt used for all the other pots. I wonder if this is the new board version that was talked about, or if all Sub37 have this.
Thanks for the link .
