the golden knob arrived shiny! thanks moog and thanks amptec for digging it up

today is the day my voyager old school returned with a new mainboard and sounds like new calibrated and all and on top of it the golden moog knob was enclosed

My oldschool. Had a broken env generator. And iT was repaired in 2012/2013
So i mailed them with the question if my oldschool was suspect
The answer was yes. My oldschool is from the last batch 0674

And now my beloved synth is far from home waiting for something that Will never
Happen

The european importer mailed me that my voyager oldschool
Was in the group of. Sick voyagers. So i send iT out to them for replacement
Of the analog board. And now This mail from Moog. :/??

And my beloved voyager OS is on the road to belgium. For the second time in two years.
they'll put a new analog board inside. to be continued

And they send me. My golden Moog Knob Yeehaaaw

The first run was in those years. First 500?
Mine is number 674 from the next run of 200?
So who knows when iT was made

after some mails send and received, I've got the message that my golden knob is on the way

that sounds like my situation, my voyagers envelope broke down in 2012[year of purchase} after sending it to belgium for repair there have been no problems but im really scared for it to happen again. so the mail about the faulty IC's brought me some relief, but , the european importer want me to ...

hmmmmmmmmm here in holland were still waiting for the golden knob my poor voyager old school still has to live with her ordinary knobs
maybe someday moog will find out about our little cold frog country in a corner of the world

hmmm i waited and waited and finally made a call to amptec belgium. asking about my golden knob.
answer: all knobs are sent out and your (my) name was not on the list.
so i checked my registrations on this site and everything seems registered at least my voyager old school

anyone ...

the first thing i tried was, to try pull out the point of the jack that didnt work so i desolderd the sick jack and ordered a few of them . they all missed one copper? leg so i tried to pull one off another and macgyvered it into the chosen one. after soldering it worked briefly but it went wonky ...

its a seperate jack board connected trough a computer type flatcable

i tried to solder another jack connector from neutrik but it wont work so i tried to order a replacement jack board. but it turns out they only got the midi version, so the next step is contacting moog again

i tried that a year ago but never got a real answer. its a neutrik jack connector but some kind of obsolete one, i cant find it anywhere
so i ordered a replacement jack board from instrumental parts, but it seems they only got the murf midi edition :) hmm well at least i can use the right output :?

ok it seemed i am the first one on this earth with this problem so i decided to buy a completely new mf108 jack board hope this works
