Using the EXT AUDIO IN to run softsynths through the moog filter
Do you think it would warm up the tones from VST-synths and make them sound better by sending them through the Moog Voyager EXT AUDIO IN and massage the sounds through the Moog filter etc? Anybody tried this? See for example some new hardware synths on the market that are hybrids with digital sound ...

Anybody tried to marry a Moog Voyager together with Softube Modular or other VST synths?
Right now I´m using a simple (albeit good quality) 2 IN 2 OUT soundcard. I´m contemplating getting a 4 IN 4 OUT soundcard and use the INs and OUTs of the Moog Voyager to send its signal into my computer and treat it with the modules in Softube Modular and out again to the Voyager, using its filter e...

Using the Voyager filters for VST-synths
Considering putting a cable from the phone (stereo) headphone OUT of my RME Babyface Pro soundcard to my Moog Voyager external (mono) audio IN. Thinking of thereby sending VST-synths out to the Voyager and massaging the VST-signal with the Voyager filters, before sending the signal back into the sou...

Re: Alternative editor/librarian?
Just for clarification, does that mean that it requires Google Chrome or can one use Edge, for example? Thankssolitud wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 7:10 pm I have built a simple SysEx Librarian for the Voyager and some other synths that works in the Goggle Chrome browser.

Re: Alternative editor/librarian?
(Topic necromancy, I know, but that´s what happens when you do a forum search, as I figure a good community member should do before asking.) https://ctrlr.org/moog-voyager-vst-au-midi-controller-1-0/ The page is updated fairly recently, March 20 2019. Anybody having experience with this editor? Is ...

Re: Making more "unclean" sounds in the direction of ARP and MS20 with the Voyager XL
Ok, thanks guys for the clarifications. There is apparently, according to your experience, no real sonic difference between the regular and XL Voyager versions. The patching possibilities of the XL is in itself a minor addition to its sonic character, it´s basically making variations of the same sou...

Re: Making more "unclean" sounds in the direction of ARP and MS20 with the Voyager XL
if you experiment you will surely discover something check this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3k5I5DXEG6g That guy has the ordinary Voyager, not the Voyager XL, so he cannot make the XL sounds I´m asking for. Yet again, I´m talking about taking advantage of the XL into a direction that the ordina...

Re: Making more "unclean" sounds in the direction of ARP and MS20 with the Voyager XL
I have never tried to emulate an MS20, but have you tried changing the filter poles to 1 or 2, instead of 4? you can also get some rude sounds by patching/modulating at audio rate, various things by LFO1 & LFO2 there was a guy on youtube who did some interesting stuff with an XL. I think he pat...

Re: Making more "unclean" sounds in the direction of ARP and MS20 with the Voyager XL
With much resonance and using the filter spacing you get some different character. But I never got close a MS-20 like sound. Ok, thanks for the reply. I was talking about using the extra features of the XL to expand the sound horizon and get it to more Arp and MS20 territory, like the SOS review sa...

Making more "unclean" sounds in the direction of ARP and MS20 with the Voyager XL
I´m getting more familiar with the "regular" Voyager sounds of my Voyager XL. And the XL, of course, is capable of making a lot more other sounds on top of that. I remember a Sound on Sound-review, https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/moog-minimoog-voyager-xl, and it says the following. &q...

Does Moog Voyager XL support piano type sustain pedal
Hi! I would like to use the 61 note keyboard of the Moog Voyager XL not only for the epic sounds of the Voyager itself, but also to control other (polyphonic) synths, VST-pianos, rhodes, etc. I contacted Moog presales, but didn´t get any clear answer if the Moog Voyager XL supports a PIANO TYPE SUST...

Questions on Voyager RME
Contemplating buying the Moog Voyager RME. I would like to use it together with my Yamaha piano midi clavinova 560 keyboard, which doesn´t have pitch- or modulation wheels. Interestingly, I read in the manual that the HP->MOD-WHEEL function allows me to program the headphone volume knob to act as a ...
