Moog Music UK 90s Minimoog?

I recently read about a company in the UK recreating the Model D in the 90s. I was just curious if anyone has ever played/owned one and can give some insight on how they compared? Also, do they ever come up for sale on ebay and what prices might they go for? I've never heard about them until now, bu...

Re: Little Phatty clicks/pops on bass notes

Thanks guys! :D I'm relieved to hear that its normal behavior. I actually don't even mind the clicks because the bass sounds so good! I just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong with it. And yeah the phasing/beating is exactly what it sounds like with the 2 oscs together. I agree, there's something...

Little Phatty clicks/pops on bass notes

I just got a used LP SE from Guitar Center and there's a few things I've noticed with it, and wanted to know if thats normal , or if it could be faulty and I should return it while I still have a chance. When I program a basic bass patch, consisting of pretty much just a triangle wave with 1 osc and...

How to program an MG-1 to sound like this Liberation patch

The MG-1 is supposed to be similar to the Liberation. So would it be possible to get this same sound on an MG-1 as this Liberation solo @ about 2:30. I specifically like the snappy envelope attack. How would I program this sound on an MG-1? Thanks

Re: Just scored my first vintage moog! (micromoog)

Thanks! appreciate the tips. I'll see if I can do a demo when I get it and post a vid. btw, do you know if its possible to get sound out of the outputs by plugging headphones in it? I'm not sure I'll have my guitar amp here when it arrives. I know it probably wouldnt sound good through headphones bu...

Just scored my first vintage moog! (micromoog)

I've been searching for a while for a vintage moog and came across this micromoog on ebay. I've looked at many micromoogs over the last few months and I've yet to see one with a ribbon controller this clean. The seller said it had been stored in an air conditioned facility and that it looks hardly u...

Moog MG-1 CV connect to Minitaur?

I'm thinking of buying a Minitaur for bass and an MG-1 for leads, and since I'll need a keyboard to play the Minitaur I was wondering if they can be connected by CV, and then just use the MG-1's keyboard to play sounds from the Minitaur?

Re: Minitaur upper octaves

If I'm not mistaken, you can go 2 octaves in range via Minitaur editor on any particular patch. But the upper reach of the OSCs are fixed regardless of pitch bend or tuning. I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Are you saying with the editor you can go up to C7? The oscillators themselves are l...

Re: Minitaur upper octaves

btw, if you self-oscillate the filter into a sine wave, can the sine wave go up to higher registers?

Minitaur upper octaves

Just wondering if its possible to do the pitch wheel trick on the minitaur, where you hold the wheel all the way up and can access another octave higher?

cool, thanks. yeah I have some rca to 1/4 cables, and never noticed anything difference. Just wondered if maybe the outputs on the mg-1 were noisy or something.

Can the Audio Input be used as an Auto Wah effect?

On a little phatty, can you play a guitar through the filter and have the envelope filter be touch sensitive like a guitar pedal? Where how hard you play opens/closes the filter like an auto-wah effect.

Does the 1/4" output mod to an MG-1 decrease noise?

I've heard the MG-1's can be a bit noisy/hissy sometimes, and some blame the rca outputs. So I was curious is that why ppl mod theirs to 1/4" because it reduces noise? Or is it just for convenience being that most equipment connects with 1/4" cables? Just wondering if I'd be better off wai...
