Any Minimoog owners that also really like the Little Phatty?
Was just curious if there are any Minimoog owners that also really like the Little Phatty?
I love my Little Phatty and tweaking it. I like to take a preset then strip it down by turning down the res, opening up the filter then eliminating each parameter that brought it to that preset sound and ...

@flippo, thanks! I'd love to see that! : )
@Omaroo,
I agree. The Little Phatty ARE is ridiculously expensive!
I never understood that either.
I know it does look sweet.
But really I have a Little Phatty Stage II CV (Red):

Re: Why have I never seen an Australian Redback Edition anyw
@flippo,
interesting.
I know that the Little Phatty "ARE" is specially for Australia.
I wonder if anyone in the U.S. has ever bought one.
I have never seen one.
But still, I believe that you have seen one and played one, but there still isn't pictures of one anywhere from anywhere in Australia ...

Why have I never seen an Australian Redback Edition anywhere
Why have I never seen an Australian Redback Edition anywhere ever?

Re: Is Minitaur playable as a stand-alone unit without keybo
...For example Dave Smith desktop modules are playable without using an external midi keyboard/controller and I believe if I'm not mistaken even the Slim Phatty is useable in this approach, too...
IT IS?!?! Can someone tell me how to do this? That would be STELLAR

Re: Is Minitaur playable as a stand-alone unit without keybo
For sure you can play it with other gear that sends MIDI, like drum machines or other types of gear like that. You can also use it with 1V/oct gear via gate and pitch inputs. :)
actually, what I was asking is if it can be played by itself. Can you turn the Minitaur on and will it "drone" on its ...

Is Minitaur playable as a stand-alone unit without keyboard?
I posted a pretty similar topic in the Taurus sub forum but I notice there is more going on here in the General sub forum than there is on the Taurus sub forum.

Re: Want to make sure is the Minitaur playable without keybo
@portamental, yeah I get that. But like I said, I wanted a Moog module with all the knobs that I could plug in by itself and maybe hook up to a delay and tweak away to my hearts content.

Re: Want to make sure is the Minitaur playable without keybo
Thanks for the responses everyone.
I'm beginning to think that the Minitaur might not be exactly what I was expecting.
I know its a bass synthesizer. But what I was really excited about was an affordable no-preset tweak-able stand-alone Moog synthesizer. I've always wanted a Voyager Old School for ...
