Re: Sub 37 Oscillators as modulators
short answer: no. the vco's output signals are not available as modulation sources in the s37. 'osc 1/2 pitch' stands for 'osc 1/2 pitch cv' - the internal (virtual, i suppose) cv signals controlling the pitch of osc 1 and 2. i dimly recall that this has been covered elsewhere, probably somewhere i...

Sub 37 Oscillators as modulators
Hi, since the Sub-phatty Moog seems to quit oscillator 2 as a modulation source Now I was looking for it in the Sub 37´s manual and found that you have a modulation menu page where you can choose "oscillator 1/2 pitch" as a modulation source to use in the filter eg/PGM setting So, that &qu...

Re: little phatty modulation amount
On the LP, just keep the modwheel in the full up position. Use the front panel LFO amount to set depth that is saved with the patch. yep, I know this way I guess there could be some places where the functionality of the LP could be a problem. What are you doing where this would be a problem? Maybe ...

little phatty modulation amount
I noticed my slim phatty let you set the initial modulation amount ans save it in the patch but in my friend´s little phatty you just set the maximum amount of wheel modulation I was thinking about switch my slim phatty for a little phatty stage II with the expanded CV outs but this issue is a deal ...

Re: Little phatty for polyphonic synth?
I heard some rumours about moog is cooking a poly synth to be released in 2014
and also...some modular stuff

Re: Sub Phatty, no oscillator 2 as modulation source?
Amos, can you speak to exactly how the LFO modulation is set up on the Sub and how that relates to the external CV modulation bus? What exactly is causing the LFO resolution to be "cut off"? +1 on this request I´d like to know if Osc 2 as modulation source is possible from the hardware po...

Re: Sub Phatty, no oscillator 2 as modulation source?
Anselmi, you have an Analog Four...you could use the A4 LFOs to modulate the Sub P Filter or Pitch via CV...not the same, i know, but you still have the LFO free on the Sub P than. I got plenty of gear, including a little 6U euro (and another one comming) so I´m not short of modulation so...

Re: Sub Phatty, no oscillator 2 as modulation source?
You can't completely erase the market for the slim-phatty by making the sub-phatty do EVERYTHING that the more expensive synth does. I´m not looking for everything ...the slim phatty still got a different sound, warmer overdrive, and a much bigger bank of memories also, it´s a module, that lot of p...

Re: Sub Phatty, no oscillator 2 as modulation source?
Totally agree with Box. If you like the Sub, don't let that be the one thing that turns you off from it. The limitations are certainly there, but they're just part of it's personality like any other synth. You can still do cool FM with the LFO. For me, the knob per function interface was no brainer...

Re: Sub Phatty, no oscillator 2 as modulation source?
I'm going to go ahead and put in my vote for osc2 as modulation source, as well. I've been trying to achieve some FM effects by using the LFO at high rate, but it's just not the same as the osc2 modulation on the LP. A little off topic, but somewhat related (might put this in a separate thread), I ...

Re: Sub Phatty, no oscillator 2 as modulation source?
I'm afraid I wasn't clear. At a certain point the LFO's rate (via keyboard tracking) seems to max out and stop. This seems to be about middle-C (+1 octave) when keyboard-tracking is set to max (high-C). I don't think this is what people are looking for. I'm a little worried I'm still not being clea...

this would be great...like using an audio oscillator indeed, maybe better since you can free both oscillators for other dutiestwelsch42 wrote:If you set LFO KB-tracking to the max, it appears to me like you indeed-CAN max out the LFO's rate

Re: Desktop version of the Sub Phatty?
if you think you need more than 2 octaves for basslines then you´re doing something wrong...Box wrote:They could call it the 12" Sub. 25 keys is kind of limiting, even for mono lead and bass work
or you are like this 6-strings bass guitar players...you are simply showing off

Re: Desktop version of the Sub Phatty?
If Moog won´t do it...i am sure Korg will do something...rumours say that Arturia has something more analog up their sleeve also for 2014... indeed...they´re getting very deep into analog products development although I love the polysix and mono/poly I´d love to see them create something new with t...
