Re: Moog One Bugs
I sure would like to hear from MOOG as to status of fixes all the bugs! I have spent $11,000 CDN on a synth that has SO MANY BUGS!! Although it sounds lovely, I cant even sync it to my DAW! I still have the box and am deciding if I should return it. Maybe buy it again in a year or two if/when it ac...

Re: LFO stuck
From some demos that I've watched, yes the GrandMother can be overdriven in a very good way. If you raise the levels in the mixer section you'll hear a very pleasant harmonic distortion reminiscent of what is achieved on the Minimoog D doing the same thing.

This is what a Minimoog D can do. Enjoy this short snippet.

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
To DavyP: I simply thought that you were perhaps taking a lot of space. No disrespect intended. Sorry if it came out that way. It's just that if I were to post a new message each and every time that I record a jam on my machines, I'd probably be doing the same thing you are. But I try to show some r...

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
In your last 110 messages in this thread, spanning the last 7 pages bordering on flooding, not once did we hear or see a Moog in your music.

Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody
If there is one thing that I've learned over the many years of owning and playing many different synths, it's that you cannot rely solely on traces on an oscilloscope to compare the overall sounds between them. You must trust your ears instead. Because they're much better at hearing things than our ...

Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody
I doubt that the hardware is capable of doing that. It's like trying to coax Minimoog D timbres out of a Voyager; mission impossible.
I even suspect that the overall timbre of the One is largely influenced by the Voyager.
Even the Grandmother sounds much more Moog than a One.

Re: Moog One - Not For Everybody
maybe Behringer will clone the memorymoog? Don't laugh. This isn't as far fetched as it would seem. Since Behringer owns the IC factory that has recently restarted the production of classic Curtis chips like the CEM3340, and 3310 used in the Memorymoog. They've already successfully and convin...

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests
As for "crashing", there were a number of factory presets that were originally made with a much earlier operating system. Simply updating to v1.0.2 and then creating a new USER SPACE (with all of the Factory Presets), will re-generate Factory Presets that are correctly tweaked for all of ...

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests
A good friend of mine, who owns many analog synths from Moogs to Rolands to Doepfers to well you get the idea, has finally tried the Moog One in a local music store yesterday. The 20 minutes that he spent with it were less than impressive to say the least. The unit crashed with voices that stopped p...

Re: Any Other Source Lovers?
BTW, The River is how I was expecting the Moog One to sound. But unfortunately it's not. And I can't, for the life of me, understand why not ? Are Moog Music engineers all deaf or what ? The Voyager doesn't sound anything like a Minimoog D, nor a Moog The Source. And the Moog One seems to be derived...

Re: Any Other Source Lovers?
It's a well known fact that the Moog The Source is one of the best as far as the Moog sound is concerned. Very close to a Minimoog for fat and creamy basses. It's so good that a guy in France, who started a small company called Baloran, cloned the PCB of his Moog Source and designed and created an 8...

Re: Moog One vs Other Polysynths
I don't think the One is capable of sounding exactly the way I wish, no. Because it can't sound like a polyphonic Minimoog D, or at least a Memorymoog. Which, for that much money, it should have been able to.PhilAiken wrote: It is capable of so much, that you need to make it sound the way you wish.
