Re: is there a new firmware update/beta?
It doesn't look like it's been released, despite the rumors.

Re: Dropped and stuck notes even with new firmware
I've been able to reproduce the problem I'm seeing, and it's not just the Slim Phatty that has trouble. It also causes my Korg Triton & Korg SP250 to behave the same. I don't have another non-Korg set up to test on. I put it at http://hackbar.net/stuck.mid. I had to hack the recorder and player ...

Re: Dropped and stuck notes even with new firmware
The weird thing is that I *am* getting successful updates to USB firmware v34 using the file that folks have said does not work for them. The key is, it does *not* display a "USB UPGRADED" message when the update is complete. I will describe exactly what I am seeing here when I do the upd...

Re: Dropped and stuck notes even with new firmware
Hi All- We understand the frustration with the current status of this firmware, and we deeply regret that the Slim is not meeting your expectations. Please accept our sincerest apology for this incident. The fact is, we are a small company with essentially a one-man firmware team. He feels pressure...

Re: Dropped and stuck notes even with new firmware
is there an ETA for the firmware fix? I just got my Slim Phatty last night, and it's basically unplayable with the stuck notes.

Re: New cable for LIberation
just chop the wire you have. finding a 6 lead cable for audio probably won't be too easy. The cable I have now is very poor quality. I don't want to reuse it. CAE sound has them listed on their web site. Expensive though at $99.00. CAE Sound Moog parts. Eh, $100 isn't horrible for a nice cable. I w...

Re: New cable for LIberation
Yeah, it's male to female. I could make it myself - I'm decent at soldering. The cable I have now (and it came with) is handmade, but really badly. There's not even an outer sleeve, its just crappily taped together. I think I've given up on finding one premade. Guess I'll do it myself. Any recommend...

New cable for LIberation
Anyone know where to get a new cable for the Liberation? It's a 6-pin XLR, but I can't find one for sale anywhere.

Re: Wireless transmitter?
What unit was it? I looked at their stuff, and I didn't see any that did better than 30-18k.MC wrote:Don't dismiss the guitar units, I have an old guitar wireless made by Nady that has full 20-20Khz bandwidth
I'm leaning towards the Shure PGX-Digital. It's the only unit I've found that does a full 20-20k.

Re: Wireless transmitter?
Interesting. I 20k is borderline (young people can hear above that, I still can), but it's nice to know guitar units aren't ruled out. I'll check some of their specs.MC wrote:Don't dismiss the guitar units, I have an old guitar wireless made by Nady that has full 20-20Khz bandwidth

Wireless transmitter?
I'm building a battery power supply for my Liberation, and I'd like to have a wireless audio path too. Does anyone know of a wireless system that has good characteristics (frequency range, noise, SNR) for an analog synth? Anyone used a wireless link before? I'm a bit wary of a guitar one since it la...

Re: Moog Liberation care & maintenance
Thanks for the tips. It still works great - I just want to keep it that way for years to come! I think mine might be missing the tape covering. The top layer is just a braided mesh of small steel wires. There's supposed to be a layer on top of that? Do you have a good picture of one? I'll grab a pic...
