Re: Slim Phatty Midi Issues Logic Pro X

Your issue is software related, Logic side. You have to set up your external instrument plugin so you tell it which MIDI output is it connected to (I assume you have it correct because you're hearing sounds) and the oudio input of your soundcard where you have connected it. You will be then ready fo...

Re: Little Phatty Tribute price?

Filter eBay for sold listings to get an idea of the latest prices. It's never the current asking price that counts.

Re: Try to make a choice between Little and Sub Phatty

I had to make a decision between both as well and ended with a Slim Phatty. First: you have to listen to both, specially if you are a guitar player and appreciate tone and the quality of an overdriven filter. That's one feature where both machines differ greatly. Another one would be the VCOs, where...

Re: Little Phatty tone creation help

HI! You don't need to start from an initialization state to create something that's on your mind. You can think of presets as templates which you then adapt to your own taste. I mostly never use a preset as it is because it's very rare that the sound is perfectly suited to my compositions without to...

Re: Phatty Sonic Tune Up benefits?

Absolutely. 14-bit MIDI and LFO reset is invaluable to me. Here's the list of features: m I assumed that was a feature list of the OS upgrade, not the Sonic Tune Up hardware upgrade. I currently have Slim Phatty Firmware v3.21 installed. Do I have those features listed in your link? I assumed you h...

Just turn the Slim's MIDI Local to off when using with your sequencer.

Re: Slim Phatty tuning still problematic?

Mine takes about 30 minutes in summer, about 45 in winter. Depending on where you live you may have to calibrate the whole thing 2 or 3 times a year because of temperature differences. Still, totally worth it. You just leave it on, do something else and come back later, no problem.

Re: Slim Phatty - 2 modulations?

You do have a modulation destination 2 but the source, amount and rate are shared with the main one, as the Phattys (except the Sub37) have just one modulation bus. Yes, the CP-251 would let you add a second LFO for pitch, filter or amp via CV inputs.

Re: slim phatty osc2 unstable and out of tune

I was worried cause I had this problem for a while, but it was just that I had to do a full note calibration and then the VCO2 calibration, in that order. After that it was no issue. If the unit is left unused for a while you may have to do this procedure again but it's no big deal, it just takes a ...

Re: Amos: LP/Slim Firmware Suggestions

For the Slim...if you just finally fixed the stuck notes that happens every single time I use it, and added no more features at all, I would be very happy. Sure you've checked Local OFF when using with your DAW, right? I dont use it with a DAW ,this happens with a Roland MIDI Keyboard , or Roland F...

Re: Static like noise turning overdrive knob on Slim Phatty

Try turning local off when using the slim with a sequencer, I used to have these noises when on, due to MIDI feedback loops.

Re: Moog Sub 37 - is it analog, digital or hybrid?

the Moog products are VCOs, however in the case of the Sub37 (and I believe, the SubPhatty before it), there is much improved tracking in the modern Moog VCOs than what was in my Little Phatty Tribute near zero warm up, etc. If this is the case then the Sub line is DCO based. All Moog synths, Sub l...
