Re: Voyager RME Discontinued

The Sub 37 has many digital components and Moog could build on that to create an awesome poly hybrid. I don't see Moog releasing a hardware synth with digital parts on the audio path like DSI does. I might be wrong. Hardware poly-synth with Animoog oscillators and 2 Voyager analogue filters per voi...

Re: Voyager RME Discontinued

>> The synth and fx markets do not exist in a vacuum. Even the setting of prices for their gear is quite obviously the result of careful consideration, otherwise they would have sunk already. << Maybe a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway: Do you think Moog's pricing structure is based largely on ...

Re: Voyager RME Discontinued

Well, you may be right, but the modular line you brought as an example is not really a fitting landmark for future product development. It's beyond being a very niche product, with a mostly symbolic meaning, as it's limited edition and priced as a collector's item, and a complete clone of something ...

Re: Voyager RME Discontinued

Maybe Moog is developing a poly, maybe not (wishful thinking?) The RME was most likely discontinued because it sells poorly, and Moog can't afford to waste resources. Something new is almost certainly in the works. Dave Smiths legacy is polysynths. Moog's is monosynths. They're both very good at wha...

Re: Voyager RME Discontinued

A new polymoog would be cost prohibitive, considering how much one pays for one Moog voice currently. My two cents :) Do you mean the $35,000 model that does not include a keyboard or midi? That one doesn't count  That's a very expensive piece of luxury furniture that happens to make sou...

new Polymoog or Euro-rack module versions and re-inventions of the the Modular System A new polymoog would be cost prohibitive, considering how much one pays for one Moog voice currently. Lowering their standards to afford a better price would be the death of Moog. As to Eurorack, who knows? Maybe ...

Re: Voyager RME Discontinued

Am I the only one now concerned about the future of the Voyager itself? I'm sure they may be dropping the Voyager in the next year or so but will have a new approach to the Minimoog with all of the abilities of the Sub 37 and then many features and abilities that will be unique to it and keep it as...

Re: Animoog update release?

Until recently it was possible to restore the BASE pack via Animoog. I just sent a message to Moog developers regarding the absence of the BASE expansion pack from Animoog's in-app store. We'll see if that's something they can fix in a future release. Personally, I don't understand why the Movement...

Re: MF-104M Discontinued?

Minifooger Delay uses a modern BBD still being manufactured, not the same as the MF-104m. Was somehow convinced that it was a vintage chip. And they still have the minifooger delay, also based on vintage discontinued BBD chips. All other foogers which use BBDs use models different from the o...

Re: MF-104M Discontinued?

or maybe it it's the vintage scarcity fairy dust that helps to sell the Moog and EHX pedals. Yes, you've nailed it! They've stopped selling MF-104Ms so that they can sell more MF-104Ms. That's not what I meant. Your brilliant sarcasm misses the point. The point here was that vintage BBD scarcity he...

Re: Animoog update release?

The BASE pack was sold through the in-app store and had both presets and timbres. The presets are a joke (literally), but the timbres are quite usable. The other packs you mention were indeed free preset packs downloaded from Moog's website and added manually through the iTunes file manager. Until r...
