Re: "Bring back the hardware units!" / Reintroduce Moogerfoogers, make them better?

One thing I hear quite often as a criticism of the foogers is that the bypass isn't transparent. This is true, most have filter capacitors to take away treble, the 101 in particular has a tweeter saver filter which affects the bypass too. The Phaser is the worst, with the bypass even going through t...

Re: Is it possible to get MF-104M synced repeats for eternity?

With Ableton there is every chance if you use Expert Sleepers devices instead of standard MIDI interfaces I know Os from ES and if anyone could do it. "Synced repeats for eternity" is a tall order. With BBD I think it impossible as there's no way to reallign the errors which must creep in.

Thanks for brining this to our attention. Your issues with the Subharmonicon have been reported to the appropriate folks at Moog Music. Please note that the factory is closed over the weekend (including Memorial day), so responses to technical issues will be delayed.
Anyone inspired?

Re: Subharmonicon Seq Clk 1+2 lag @ output

Moog are aware of the issue. They have a list of bugs that need fixing. Moog tech support has been a bit variable, at best there's enthusiastic thanks for a well made bug report. At worst....just ignore any post. Worst ever, given an email to 'apply to be a Beta tester' which entailed answering plen...

Re: Is it possible to get MF-104M synced repeats for eternity?

Depends on your DAW. If it's Ableton then no chance. "Rock solid midi" is a thing, but it just means "not like Ableton". Midi is serial data at a fairly low rate, if you're only sending clocks sure it's theoretically possible to send a very regular clock. Then, with the latency b...

Apparently 3 taps has always been needed to set the tempo, so my bad.

Vote for 2 taps with first tap resetting!

Re: Is it possible to get MF-104M synced repeats for eternity?

I guess we're talking midi sync here. The answer is basically a no. When a delay is midi synced it's never perfect, because midi is inherently inaccurate. As long as feedback isn't full up, you never notice. Once you have repeating audio, then to stay in sync you'd have to hardsync the audio, checki...

Re: Subharmonicon transposition

Apparently there's a firmware update on the way.
I think that's part of it, along with adding midi pitchbend and
...ahem...
making Midi Note-Off work properly.

The midi implementation currently does seem "unfinished".

Grandmother 1.1.0 firmware. Tap tempo clock division persistance turns off for no reason

I don't know if this is a new issue for v1.1.0 I set 1.4 Tempo Clock Division Persistence to on (with double click). I tap in a rhythm. Set the clock division. Tap in a new rhythm, clock division is there. Repeat with different rhythms a few times. Clock division soon goes back to 1:1, and stays the...

Re: Grandmother: Multi trig issue with the new firmware

Working fine here. Possibly there is some confusion. Retrigger will not cause the Attack phase to restart. (This is a normal monosynth behaviour, as to suddenly chop down to zero with each note would have it's own adverse affect on playability) To check the function, turn attack to zero, set short d...

Re: High pitched blip on noise modulation. Bug in Firmware?

Eventually someone at Moog was kind enough to send me a calibration procedure. Useful doc, I'm glad to have it. Don't know if it would fix the problem though, guy who sent it me reckoned that the noise signal was coming out a DAC, so calibrating that DC might fix. I don't know, but it's a complex pr...

Re: CP251 - noise on voltage signal

Thanks for the response. I took the thing apart the other day and tested with an audio probe. Indeed there's a chip to generate the negative rail voltage. It has some 100microfarad capacitors around it, to soak up the audio frequency whine the chip makes. One of those capacitors is surrounded by a h...

High pitched blip on noise modulation. Bug in Firmware?

Noticed the following.
I have a patch where noise is routed to VCO2 pitch, creates a fairly good "noise" output.
Every so often there's a brief high pitched blip in the output.
Sounds like the noise signal just becomes a tone for a fraction of a second.
