Not neccessarily the most technical but certainly some of the most musical Moog lead parts I can think of...

Air - outro to La Femme D'argent (from Moon Safari )

Air - Sexy Boy (from Moon Safari )

Fountains Of Wayne - Red Dragon Tattoo (from Utopia Parkway )

Kansas - Incommudro (from Song ...

French band Air, without a doubt, as their use of Minimoog is very elegant and not cheesy at all (like some people). In particular the album Moon Safari, in particular the outro solo to opening track La Femme D'argent - simply THE single most chillingly awesome Moog sound I've ever heard.

Also UK ...

I bought a second hand Moog Prodigy when I was 16. I couldn't play keyboard, only guitar. I knew nothing about analog synthesis. But I had TONS of fun learning how to make all those great classic Moog sounds with it. Last year I finally got my hands on an original Minimoog (not hugely different to ...

At first I thought it looked cool with all the fancy blue lighting but then I realised all this just takes away that classic Moog look. The standard Voyager is nice and kind of retro-looking but I still think the plain old Model D looks the best as there is only one light on it - the Power LED!

If ...

As a matter of interest I used to run a Prodigy through a Line 6 Flextone amp. It's the amp with lots of amp models and effects built in. Very versatile for sprucing up the Moog sound and adding some delay or Leslie. Anyone else tried this?

They also did the ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT funky remix of Air's 'Kelly Watch The Stars' (imaginitively titled Moog Cookbook Remix). It can be found on the 'All I Need' CD single, which is well worth tracking down for this alone.

Well it's an original US model but it's coming from France. It hasn't been modified in any way, I know that, so that shouldn't make a difference. Is the Mini the same as the Prodigy in that it'll accept all voltages from 110-240?

I seem to recall the Prodigy had this info on the back panel but I ...

Minimoog Operation Voltage?

Hello! I am new to this group and I've just purchased an early Minimoog via ebay and wondered what the operating voltage was? Will I be able to plug it straight into the 240v supply here in the UK or will I need a step-down transformer to convert the supply to 110v first?

I used to own a Prodigy ...
