Re: Help With Voyager RME Expanders Please

The issue was reproduced by the techs and has now been resolved. I just got everything back today.

The VX-352 needed to have a circuit board replaced.

Re: VX-351 Output Adapter

Okay -- it looks like I was mistaken and posted incorrectly.

For the VX-351, you do need to take the RME apart and install the buffering adapter that is supplied with this expander. It turns out that I never installed mine, which was a mistake on my part. I actually shipped my RME back to Moog for ...

Re: VX-351 Output Adapter

The RME does not need to be disassembled to attach either expander. The DB25 cable simply connects to either expander and the appropriate connector in the back of the unit.

Re: Saving/backing up individual presets

Yes -- the Voyager Editor works with entire banks at a time.

What I have done is click the menu option Midi|Raceive All Bank Data(sic). This updates my computer with all data from my Voyager. When I want to create a new preset, I overwrite one of the Preset Default PROG presets. After doing this, I ...

Re: Help With Voyager RME Expanders Please

This is a good thought. Thank you.

This issue has gone away for now. My RME has been producing sound for a few hours.

I did insert then remove a single plug two times into every jack on the VX-351 and VX-352.

Re: Help With Voyager RME Expanders Please

Interestingly enough, my RME began producing sound several minutes later on its own with the Env. Gate switch set to On/Ext. I had actually forgotten that I pressed a key on my controller.

I seem to have a defective unit. There's no rhyme or reason for this behavior. I submitted an RMA request for ...

Re: Help With Voyager RME Expanders Please

Now I am back to receiving no sound output with the VX-352 connected unless I have a patch cable attached to Out Volume.

I assume this is not normal operation?

Re: Help With Voyager RME Expanders Please

Now my Voyager RME is back to normal producing an audible level of sound output with both the VX-351 and VX-352 connected and no patch cable to Out Volume.

I have no clue why or how it suddenly got back to normal. I've made no changes to it at all.

Re: Help With Voyager RME Expanders Please

It looks like a patch cable is required in my case to hear sound. The VX-352 being connected is preventing the synth from producing sound. When I connect a patch cable from Pedals MOD1 on the VX-351 to Out Volume on the VX-352, I hear sound as I have in the past.

I didn't have to do this yesterday ...

Help With Voyager RME Expanders Please

When I played my keyboard controller connected to my Voyager RME, I heard no sound. I thought I may have damaged it with an incorrect patch to my VX-351 and VX-352 expanders. I tried everything, but I heard no sound at all (increased Matser Volume pot, plugged in headphones to test for sound ...

Re: Voyager RME Panorama Only Works Correctly With Triangle

Ah...interesting. Thanks for the information.

This must mean that the CP-251 already includes a bipolar square waveform. The Voyager itself does not. This may be why the waveform icons on the two units differ. The RME's square waveform icon is pretty short where the CP-251's square waveform icon is ...

Re: Voyager RME Panorama Only Works Correctly With Triangle

I double-checked all my settings and experimented with this some more. I am able to get an even right to left channel panorama with square LFO if I change the filter spacing to -50 or so. The pan tracks the keyboard with square. Lower keys have more output to the left channel than right, and higher ...

Re: Voyager RME Panorama Only Works Correctly With Triangle

I just repeated this test with the CP-251's square LFO patched to PAN input on my VX-352. Note that I do hear a clicking sound, but the levels also alternate from left to right evenly.

My guess is that the clicking sound is normal with square. I cannot imagine why the channel level difference would ...

Voyager RME Panorama Only Works Correctly With Triangle LFO

I noticed an issue with my RME several days ago related to Panorama with square LFO. Here's what happens:

I am editing the user defined preset G:68.
I press the Edit button to change the PGM Pedal Dest. on the EDIT Functions 2.4 screen
On the next EDIT Pedal Dest. 1.4 screen, I select Panorama

Now ...

Re: RME Expansions

I just received my VX-351, VX-352 and CP-251 today and am experimenting with it now. It appears my Voyager RME may have a problem though. I will post details in a new thread.
