MIDI setup in DAW: Sub 37 (LPX/AL9)
Now, while I may not be new to synths, I have only recently began using MIDI (for notation) and the Sub 37 would be my first hardware attempt. I use Logic Pro X and Ableton Live 9. Essentially what I'd like to do is figure out how to set up in two different ways (ideally within the same project): 1....

Re: Sub 37 - No longer outputting sound.
UPDATE:
- Performed firmware update with C6 via MIDI (USB) with no error
- Tested headphone jack, confirming it was still pushing out sound
- Tried Audio Out jack via 1/4", resulting in no change in behavior - still no sound coming from the output.

Re: Sub 37 - No longer outputting sound.
Just did and oddly enough, I get audio from there. So it doesn't seem as though the sound engine itself is off.bichuelo wrote:Did you try the headphones out?
Output via Audio Out still a no-go.

Sub 37 - No longer outputting sound.
Hey guys, So I got my Sub 37 and attempted to connect it up via MIDI (DIN) to my DAW (LPX) and that didn't work out, but that is probably besides the point. When I got to using my Sub 37 the next day via 1/4", I noticed it wasn't outputting any sound regardless of the Volume designated. My init...

Re: MF-103M?
Midi control would allow me to call up many different presets at the tap of a button as I play guitar...with both hands. For certain passages I could still play with the knobs. I'll always have access to an expression pedal. What's EDM? EDM = Electronic Dance Music Unfortunately, most newcomers are...

Re: Sub Phatty Pitch CV IN behavior
Didn't even think to check that. I'll give it a go when I get home and let you know what happens. Also, is anyone else getting this behavior when trying to apply an external LFO to the Pitch CV in? I tried using the LFO on my CP-251, but it doesn't go fast enough to make the wonky stuff happen. I'm...

Re: MF-103M?
I don't really understand people's desires to have ever MF revamped for MIDI connectivity. I've owned them all, sold what I could do without and find no need whatsoever for Moog to conform to MIDI application. I mean, we have CV control for a reason. Granted, I know most newcomers are trying to use ...

Re: Desktop version of the Sub Phatty?
If (or when) a desktop/rackmount version of the Sub Phatty surfaces will be far from this point in time. Consider Moog's release sequences for other desktop/rackmount versions of their hardware and you'll notice a faint pattern, albeit not quite consistent.

Re: Recording Phatty with Apogee Duet 2
I own the legacy Apogee Duet (firewire) and while it has truly become a lackluster piece of gear since upgrading to Lion, I used to find, when using Snow Leopard, that adding just a tad bit of gain provided a great warmth during AD conversion. Now, however, there are many issues that exasperate me t...

Re: Sub Phatty Pitch CV IN behavior
The resolution to this may be as simple as increasing the LFO range for your given patch. Remember that the Sub Phatty's LFO rate is chopped into pieces and selectable through Shift mode's hidden parameters. Let me know that pans out for you. It may be surprising to think that this could restrict CV...

I'm sure they have not strayed away from the AU/VST claims, despite there being a delay in its release.

Re: Share your synthesizer music!
Another Sub Phatty piece. Clearly, percussive elements were created elsewhere. String scraping recorded via SM-57 into Apogee Duet.
