I was about to buy a Moog Matriarch when I noticed it's available nowhere in Europe for purchase.
According to former employees (see here : https://synthanatomy.com/2023/09/inmusic-has-fired-a-large-portion-of-the-moog-staff-a-sad-day-for-synth-industry.html ) Moog has laid off most of their ...

A true polyphonic Moog would be a great idea

Duo-paraphonic: 1st step towards polyphony?
I can't help thinking that if Moog know how to design a firmware that can handle 2 notes played simultaneously to drive 2 VCOs independently, they also know how to design a firmware that can handle more than 2 notes played simultaneously to drive several complete voice cards independently.

Re: Sub 37 Feature Request....
My request is quite simple:
>> Moog, please keep the natural wood sides on the standard edition!
Plastic or black stained wood it definitely NOT Moogish.
And ash wood sides on my SUB 37 wood match my Etherwave Plus...

[Sub 37] Snap mode?
Will the Sub 37 have a 'snap' or 'catch' mode so that when you recall a stored patch and when the positions of the knobs do not correspond to the actual parameters of the recalled patch, the pots do nothing until they reach those actual values?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I hope Moog will keep natural wood sides for the standard edition. No plastic, no black stained wood, please.

37 keys and a full control panel, that's exactly what I was expecting!
Thanks Moog, and please keep wooden sides - ash 'wood' be fine - for the standard edition, please no plastic nor black stained wood, keep it moog-ish!

the panel wouldn't be cluttered if those 'page 2' functions were silkscreened in another color, say, medium blueStuka wrote:MUCH better than cluttering up the panels with additional text, IMHO...![]()

Sub Phatty: labelling of 'under the hood' functions
Would Moog consider labelling the 'under the hood' functions on the panel of the SP (e.g. in blue to distinguish them from the 'basic' functions)?
Think of those functions as 'page 2' (cf. OB-8) functions rather than as 'hidden' or 'under the hood' functions...

Desktop version of the Sub Phatty?
Would Moog consider releasing a desktop version of the Sub Phatty (a 'Slim Sub') ?
As a gigging musician I have no use of a 2 octave keyboard, it's too narrow to play a bass or a lead and it's too cumbersome to sit conveniently on the panel of another synth used as a master keyboard.

When I see the prices asked for used Etherwave Pros I can't help believing there's a market for those instruments. So why did Moog stop producing them?

LP: real analogue pitch bend?
Hi,
I'm considering buying a Slim Phatty.
I want to do a cover of the 'Break free' solo, which includes a final deep pitch bend with absolutely no audible step.
Since there is no pitch bend on the Slim Phatty, and since using the pitch bend of a MIDI kb over more than 2 semitones would result in ...

VCOs or DCOs ?
Does the Little/Slim Phatty have VCOs or DCOs ?
There is an alternate scale editor, which means the oscillators are controlled with software, so I believe that the oscillators are DCOs.
Can someone confirm this or, if I'm wrong, explain to me how real VCOs can be controlled by software?
