Re: CP-251 with Oberheim SEM Pro?

Yes, they work fine. The mixer is useful too - it is spec'ed to allow mixing of audio or cv signals. One of the advantages of the pro over the patchpanel is that it has an amp in the ext. audio in (or at least one side of it), whereas the patchpanel version does not, so you need to get a pretty hot...

Re: CP-251 with Oberheim SEM Pro?

Thanks for the replies!

Has anyone tried to use the CP-251's attenuators to attenuate an audio signal?

Re: CP-251 with Oberheim SEM Pro?

Thanks, is th S+H really limited to 1v? Doesn't it depend on the input source?
Also, does the CP-251 handle the SEM's 10v CV outs fine?

CP-251 with Oberheim SEM Pro?

Hey guys, I've been trying to find this information everywhere to no avail. Apparently, searching for "CP-251" on these forums returns no results, huh? My Oberheim Pro has CV ins and outs that output and accept 0-10 volts (lfo out, oscillator outs are 10v). I wanna know if I can use a CP-2...

Re: Ok so i have got my Little Phatty

Buddy, don't go into that guitar input! The impedence difference between line and guitar level is significant! You could damage either unit doing this and DO NOT switch phantom power on anything but an unpowered mic. Actually, I frequently connect keyboards' unbalanced outputs to instrument (guitar...

Problem with MIDI and repeated notes

Hi, I have a problem using Cubase 5 to sequence my Slim Phatty - if the same note is repeated twice or more in a row, some of the notes will randomly drop out. For example, if I'm playing a sequence that's all 8th notes, and I have the same note twice in a row, the second note won't always play. The...

Try plugging it into the same outlet as the mixer.

Re: Zipper noise from filter

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm not using a DAW just controlling the Slim directly for live use. I actually don't have the Axiom anymore, I just borrowed one from a friend to test it. I'm mainly trying to get it to work smoothly with my Nord Stage 2 for live gigs. I checked the Nord's manual and th...

Zipper noise from filter

Hi all, I have a Slim Phatty, when I try to tweak the filter's cuttof frequency using a MIDI controller I get very audible aliasing (zipper noise). I have enabled 14-bit MIDI in the menu and I still get the same issue, I've tried a few different controllers as well (Nord Stage, Axiom 49). When tweak...

Re: Moog Little Phatty Stage III/XL

I'm sorry but an 88 key monophonic synth sounds like a terrible idea to me
More filter options and a 3rd oscillator? Why not just get a Voyager?

I do agree that a standalone polyphonic Moog would be incredible though.

Re: SP Oscillator 2 taking forever to warm up...

Hi guys, I have recently posted a thread about my Slim Phatty taking around 1.5 to 2 hours to warm up and stop drifting. Moog support's answer was just that it's due to the SP's small size and there's nothing you can do about it. What i WOULD like to know is, why certain Phatties take longer (even m...

Re: Slim Phatty OUT of tune

What kind of detuning are you experiencing after running the calibration routine? Is it a tracking issue, like you had at first, or is it an overall tuning drift? I've had a Little Phatty and now have a Slim, and I've found out that the Slim needs a much longer warmup time. Only after an hour to two...

Re: How long does it take your Slim Phatty to warm up?

Thanks for the reply. I'm hoping for some replies from other Slim Phatty (not Little Phatty) users on this forum who can help me determine if all Slims act this way or if I should be demanding a replacement unit. Unfortunately as of now it's a pain to use live, since I have to keep fiddling with the...

How long does it take your Slim Phatty to warm up?

Hi all, I had a Little Phatty Stage II which would warm up in 5 minutes and then stay rock solid in terms of tuning. I have a Slim Phatty now, and unfortunately it takes way, way longer for it to get stable (in a warm room with stable temperature). After 1.5 to 2 hours, the tuning reaches the stabil...
