Re: Signal chain in live situations
No offense I just think you're overthinking it. In a live situation there are so many more significant variables than the sonic impact of a mic preamp that are far out of your control I would not worry about it as long as you are sending a decent mix to the sound guy. I dont worry, Im just curious ...

Re: Signal chain in live situations
I have 16 pfl channel outs. 4 aux busses, 2 monitor busses, a control room out and the main outs to use of needed. I run direct. Pre's are for mics and guitars, not high level signals from the synths. I don't worry about coloration either. I'm playing dives, art galleries and outdoor venues through...

Re: Signal chain in live situations
Mixer and all my effects on stage. Send 2 to 8 channels to house as needed. My monitoring is good enough on stage that the house sound man needs only set levels and eq for the venue. Do you have 8 outputs on your mixer? Do you use the preamps or line-inputs on your mixer? In case of preamps, do you...

Signal chain in live situations
Im just wondering what you people prefer to use in your signal chain when playing live.
Im not talking about effects, but DIs and preamps, etc.
From synth to PA..
Do you consider what the soundguy is adding to you signal chain??
Do you have a mixer with preamps on stage?
etc.......

Slim Phatty arpeggiator bug?
Sorry for the bad explanation, but here goes: When I use the phatty arpeggiator with ableton, there is a small lag at the beginning of a new note. The lag doesnt go away after its been introduced.. The only time it doesnt lag is when starting the sequencer after its been stopped. Overlapping notes d...

Slim phatty audio output is leaking...
Today I noticed something odd. When I turn the audio output off by pressing the yellow audio on/off button, there is still a little bit of audio passing through.(only high frequencies.) I have to use the pot to completely cut the audio signal.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Re: Line selector pedal for gate signals? HELP
I've been driving my Slim Phatty with my Dark Time via MIDI, which works quite well so far. Have you tried that in combination with the CV Gate trigger? Yes, but I use a second foot switch to mute/unmute the gate signals while the sequencer is running. I cant do that if I use midi. Midi also sends ...

Line selector pedal for gate signals? HELP
Im having a hard time finding info on this online, so Ill ask here instead. Please bear with me.. I trigger my Slim Phatty in two different ways using the CV gate input. 1: I use a a Boss FS-5U foot switch connected with a jack cable. Just like using a dummy cable, but with a momentary on/off switch...
