Re: SP sysex woes

Alright! Now we're cookin' 8)

All presets load perfectly when using bog MIDI cables! Not sure why that is, it'd be nicer and tidier if USB worked ok for sysex, but now I've got 300 more presets to mangle!

Is there any advantage to using USB rather than DIN from Cubase? Could I have both USB and ...

Re: SP sysex woes

Guys, I need a little help here!

If anyone has used Midiox to successfully load these presets into a Slim Phatty via USB under Windows XP, then it would be great if you could let me know the buffer settings you used etc. Do you think I should try using MIDI in and out cables instead of MIDI over ...

Re: SP sysex woes

I tried increasing the Midiox buffer sizes to 1024, and reducing them to 64 with the same results. I don't have any other synths that I can send sysex files to.

I also tried a different USB port, same thing.

Any other suggestions appreciated!

SP sysex woes

Hi all

I'm having a few problems loading presets into my SP. I have tried these preset files:

http://www.moogmusic.com/software/LP_TE_factorysounds.zip
http://www.moogmusic.com/software/LP_SE_factorysounds.zip
http://www.moogmusic.com/software/stage_2_fact_presets.syx

The only one that loads in ...

Re: New SP owner

Do you have to have the editor to assemble our own batch of presets? From what I understand you have to have one of the host programs for the editor to work, correct?
Just thinking out loud: you have the option to dump a single preset. So create and dump single presets as you go. Then when you ...

Re: New SP owner

Thanks for that

Hmm, calibration patch - found that, and managed to mangle it good an proper! But the sound I came up with wasn't particularly inspiring - too much like an underweight bee in a large biscuit tin. I guess what would be useful for me would be some more presets that I can load/program ...

New SP owner

Hi, my name's Rok and I'm a guitarist :anxious:

I'm the proud new owner of a Slim Phatty - and I'm absolutely loving it! Being a guitarist I love the analog, organic side of sound production. I've always loved the sound of a Moog, going way back to early Rick Wakeman, ELP and all those bands, and I ...

 I could never sell any of my guitars, not even to finance the purchase of some wonderful Moog gear! I just wait until my bank manager tells me I can go for it
