I go up to practice and the patch i saved on the mp 201 dont bleeping work.Cant hear a sound ....nothing .hmmm worked yesterday.preset was the same as i left it last night....working.went through the routine of cables connections power etc.....wait a sec !Only thing different was I powered down then ...

After going through every single object in both the edit and utilities menu,changing each one at a time I found the single parameter that allows the EWI to midi in mp-201 out to slim phatty and be heard through my amp!That's right the EWI4000s controls the slim phatty via the mp-201.

I'd try the mp 201 @ the store first. use ts cables if no worky try trs cables if no worky put mp 201 back on store shelf.also have the sales guy hook it up and use the midi functions if no worky ........I did not follow my own instructions and am now the proud owner of a $700 plus tax paper weight.

quick rundown:buy slim phatty,hook up akia ewi,turn on amp,play.WOOHOO!!off to the races,turn amp up.....,turn amp down.Next up buy mp-201,read manual,register said mp 201 oops we have a problem !what do ya mean the serial number is not recognized?Email moog asking what seems to be the problem.No ...

I'm going be trying the ewi4000s with my SP as soon as the windsynth arrives.My wx11 is kind of munched and doesn't work well with any of my synths anymore.

I have encountered yet another perplexing dilemma.The midi channel 1 I use to send midi to SP keeps getting to changed randomly by ???? in the SP.Example...emu proteus mps sends note on to Sp midi channel1 .Sp is set to receive on midi channel 1 ...

I have same issue when using my wx11 controller via midi.turn off power is only solution so far.

Oh ya !The gr-20 works excellent with the SC six trak it also is a mono synth.I need do nothing really just midi in away I go......hmm...I'll need more hrs on the SL.Will check the mono mode on Gr-20 though.

Thanx for replys.Ya those g2m/b2m have terrible lag They get to go back to store.I did plug a patch chord to open gate .prolly wrong input(doh!)I'll insert into KB in then try the audio in with instrument.As for the envelope follower,I will try the Qtron.Thanx again.
