Re: Minitaur CV input and tuning
This is what I did for calibration: First run the "note calibration start" function and let it complete the process. Then I completed the +1 V calibration followed by +4 V. According a post on Muff's, my problem with 0 V. translating to a G (or G#) rather than a C is normal behavior. Appar...

Re: Minitaur CV input and tuning
Sure thing, Ive gone through the calibration procedures several times. It responds perfectly to MIDI input and it stays proportionately in tune over several octaves with CV in as expected. Can anyone tell me what their Minitaur is tuned to when you simply trigger a gate/open the VCA (no MIDI input)....

Minitaur CV input and tuning
So... I'm a Eurorack user who traded some gear for a used Minitaur. I'm sequencing it with a Metropolis. I would like to have the Minitaur tuned to a C when it receives zero volts, 1 volt, 2 volts etc. Mine is closer to a G instead. Tuning control does not have enough range to tune to a C. If I send...

Voyager Electric Blue oscillator 1 calibration
I've sent a message into Moog tech support about a week ago and waiting for a reply. I'm preparing to send my Voyager in later this summer. I had not powered it up in over a year. When I did, oscillator 1 didn't track well any more and 3-1 FM didn't work either. I also want to calibrate input CV for...

Re: Driving an LED with Moog CV
Yep, that's what I'm looking to do- drive a vactrol with Moog CV. It should't be much trouble to build a simple circuit to control the LED side of the vactrol with a transistor but I was wondering about skipping that altogether and hooking a vactrol directly to CV.

Re: Driving an LED with Moog CV
Awsome, that's close to what I was thinking of- did you wire the LED directly to the jack or use a resistor in series? I want to modulate the LED's brightness with Moog CV and my photo cell will be attached to another device.

Re: Driving an LED with Moog CV
Thanks, those are both good points. I was estimating something like 20 mA. for the LED. Lineararity is less of an issue- this would be for circuit bending/hardware hacking applications more than acurate pitch tracking.

Driving an LED with Moog CV
This is a questions for any Moog CV experts out there. What's a safe current draw on Moog CV's (MP-201, Etherwave etc.) I'd like to try a dead simple vactrol setup with an LED and photoresistor. I've seen one reference for 0.5 mA but I can't find anything in the MP-201 manual. Any insight would be g...

Hiya Electrolegs! I see from DSI forums you may already have one but I saw one today used on Guitar Center webstore for a reasonable price.

Re: digital alternative to the ep-2
It will get complicated if you only want to trigger this at certain parts of a song. You need a very slow LFO set to ramp up- Moog Mp 201 may do that with one of its CV outs going to a MF 101. I'm not sure if it can be set that slow- for some reason I can only get my MP 201 ramp time up to about 10 ...

Hi everyone, I wanted to share this idea with all of you. I was having trouble bumping the DATA wheel wheel with my foot, then I got this idea from the Taurus 3. Some of you may recognize this part from the Voyager. http://s1145.photobucket.com/albums/o513/m8kers/?action=view¤t=62ba9752.jpg

Etherwave Plus Field Upgrade
Wow, nice. I was finished installing this on a Big Briar Etherwave in about 2 hours. I spent the rest of the afternoon hooked up to Taurus 3 pedals and Eventide Space. Whoa!!! What a classy kit- great job again Moog.
